We were finally driving by at a time that made sense to stop and eat, so we had our first meal here and it won't be the last. Friendly service. Good pizza. Good atmosphere. I was not expecting to order from the counter right when we walked in, but luckily we had already scoped out the menu. We ordered two pizzas and cheese curds. Hopefully the cheese curds are a permanent addition to the menu. They're delicious. And they have the good ranch dressing for dipping. We ordered the all meat pizza on cauliflower crust for the gluten-free diner, and we ordered bbq chicken on regular crust. I know the crust is kind of the main attraction here, but we all actually preferred the cauliflower crust over the regular crust. The regular crust has a nice chew, but we just really enjoyed the cauliflower. The bbq pizza is very sauce heavy and felt a little out of balance to me, but overall we all enjoyed our meal and the service and the break from driving. We will definitely be back. Oh, it's also super affordable whether you're here for pizza, drinks, or the buffet.

Arriving to our resort close to dinner time, I started browsing for some local pizza places I could…read moreorder from. Ozark Mountain Pizza came up as an option not far from where we were staying so I decided to try it. I ordered online the first time (yes we ordered multiple times). It took no time for our order to be ready and it was waiting when I picked it up. I couldn't wait to get home to try the garlic knots so I popped one in my mouth in the car. Divine! It was garlicky, pillowy, and delicious! When I got back to the resort (less a couple garlic knots), we popped open the pizza box and the salad. When I say that I have never seen such fresh lettuce in my life, I am not kidding. It was green and not full of big old chunks of lettuce ribs. It was PERFECT! The pizza was also perfect. Crust pillowy like the garlic knots. Perfect amount of greasy deliciousness. The SECOND time was a few days later when we called and ordered delivery. Same order as before with different toppings on the pizza. Our order taker was very pleasant despite us debating back and forth amongst ourselves the 10:30pm delivery time (it was 9:00pm at the time) and figuring out toppings. It is a true testament that we ordered despite the late arrival time. The delivery driver was super nice and had no problems finding us in our complex. The food result was the same as before - delicious! I can't recommend them enough!

The service was easy to use online with a 20% off coupon offered for the 2nd order online! They offer family specials and we took advantage of the 2 large pizzas for $32 - plus added some sides and a couple of two liters (sold cold) with cups requested for us to share our drinks once the pizza and drinks arrive! Thanks for the easy ordering process and great food! Might K add that the delivery driver was lit together and. Or sloppy or skinny. It makes a difference when the presentation is clean and the manners are great! The sales skills were awesome too!

I was honestly pretty excited to try this place out after our last trip to Branson and made a point…read moreto eat here this time after a truly delicious experience at another pizza place nearby. I also was surprised to see that Dave Portnoy had recently been here (not that I care about his opinion) but it added another level of intrigue. Unfortunately my visit the other day did not nearly live up to the hype. Where do I start... The service? Unorganized. The staff? Lacking people skills. The food? One pizza was pretty terrible (1) and the other was a 4 at best, and the appetizer was completely forgotten about despite being asked about at least 3 times. My experience with the staff was interesting because after I swiped my card and plugged in a pre-service tip, she just walked away to deliver pizzas to the dining area with out a word being said. Literally nothing, as we stood there looking silly with our cups and table flag on the counter and the receipt hanging out of the machine. So I grabbed our stuff and went to find a table. Within a matter of 2 minutes the same person ventured out to the dining area carrying what I assume was our appetizer and walked around asking several tables if it was theirs. Finally one table (who looked equally confused) went ahead an accepted it. Then in a matter of another 2-3 minutes a pizza came out to which the waitress asked if it was ours. I thought this was impossibly fast but we verified the toppings and she placed it on our table and asked if we needed anything else. I informed her that there was supposed to be another pizza as well as an appetizer. She went to check on that and returned with another pizza and said she would check on the app. Within about another 3 minutes when we all were still working on our first slice each she returned and asked if we needed a box. I told her that eventually we would but we were just getting started and were still waiting on our appetizer. After that she didn't stop by the table again until we were done, and I flagged her down to asked for a box and reminded her again about the app. I even had to show her what we ordered on the receipt because she looked pretty confused about the whole thing. After that we didn't see her again, and a different person came out from the back and presented our appetizer in a to go box. She was very nice and apologetic, but still it was too little too late. On to the food... As mentioned above the first pizza was pretty terrible. For starters there was no sauce. Literally no sauce at all just the dehydrated remains of where it once was burned to the dry, cheese-less parts of the crust whose rim was every bit of 2.5 -3 inches. It had a decent amount of pepperoni which was used as a base for the scarce amount of cheese and bacon bits, so as soon as you picked up a slice everything fell off. Not slid off like you are probably imagining with an over sauced or extra cheesy slice, but fell off the bread in a dry floppy flat lump. The toppings were completely separate from the crust with no binder whatsoever. All that was left on the crust underneath was the pepperoni oil which had soaked into it, aiding in the separation. It was really bad. The second pizza was a plain cheese one. It was much better and this time no issues with the topping. It also was MUCH hotter than the first one which was really odd to me. This example was considerably more flavorful and more on par with what I was initially expecting. That other one however literally was like someone made a pizza, cooked it halfway, then wiped all the toppings and sauce off and filled the parbaked void with a full layer of pepperoni, then bacon and cheese. It was like a topping transplant from a pizza that was made wrong. The Garlic Cheese breadsticks which we tried in the car on the drive home were okay, but only like the middle 3.5 were covered in cheese with the outer 2+ sticks almost completely bare. Also it appears that the sticks are pre-frozen ones that are covered with "fresh" garlic spread and cheese. Its either that or the person making them is really good at making them to a uniform size and shape. Doesn't really matter because they simply weren't that great. The only positive thing about the food was the crust on the cheese pizza, but even that isn't saying much. So all in all it was a pretty bad experience. I'm still having a hard time understanding what happened with the first pizza's assembly as well as the odd / clearly unorganized service. Also the pizza(s) came out impossibly fast which makes me wonder how staged or preprepared these are before ordering. Because of all of this I can't honestly say that I'll be back, especially when there are far better options just across the Taneycomo.

And let me tell you, the pizza is only a 14"....not that deep. I don't mind paying...but this is so out of line compared to what you get. Even a straight pepperoni or sausage pizza..you're paying plenty for what you get. Good taste...but dang have they continued to raise the prices. Salad for 2: $20.75 and the salad is smaller than it ever used to be. Toppings aren't as plentiful as they used to be. And the dressing...the salad didn't have squat. And I paid 2.50 more to get a couple of sides of more dressing....and they're coming in the small plastic ramekin. Gee, give me a break with the nickel and dime junk...when you're already charging $21 for the salad. I have always loved this place. And I can pay whatever....but out of principle...I won't for this place anymore. Sad...as I'm from Chicago and love what this place offered in the past. But now...I suggest Pizza by the Chef in Hollister. Want a meat pizza...Hercules at that place is awesome.
