We were already in the area so drove there and at 5 minutes to 5 they turned on their open sign and I went in to order. They said they already had a few orders ahead of mine that had called in... I ordered a bacon pizza, half with pineapple to go. The quality was just very subpar. The bacon was funky tasting. The cheese tasted kind of gross. The crust was bland and not good. Also it was cut in tiny squares and by the time I got home the pieces just didn't come apart and was a mess to eat. Not worth the price. I would choose Mia pizza over them.

Who pissed in their coffee?…read more I came in to buy pizza by the slice, and asked if they had any vegetable. A plump woman in a blue T-shirt said "No, we only have 2 veggie." I didn't understand, and said "But that's what I asked for." She replied "It's cheese, and that's vegetarian!" I did not understand her anger. I said "I'll take one". She angrily grabbed a plastic bag and cardboard container, angrily shoved the slice inside, threw the thing at me and stalked off in a huff. I looked at the cashier who saw the entire exchange. He said nothing. Not "I'm sorry for your experience" , or "Would you like to speak with a manager?" Nothing. I asked "Are they always so dismissive of customers?". He replied "I can't control other people". By this time my stomach was in knots, so I quietly told him I did not want the slice and left, but not without hearing him call after me facetiously "HAVE A NICE DAY!". What the hell happened? The Attendants were top notch-nice and gave me an unsolicited yet very much appreciated run down of their offerings and how they were different. Casey's' is the only place in town you can get hot food after 9 pm (apart from McDonald's some nights). Casey's is open 24 hours a day; and makes made to order subs, chicken sandwiches, burgers fries, hot & fresh pizzas and even some doughnuts. This is a big deal for Springfield - not even Hy-Vee sales hot food late. Looks like they also have a summer 2016 promotion going on where you save on pizzas and fountain drinks. I was thrilled when I saw they had Cherry Pepsi at the fountain machine. I never see that - so I went ahead and grabbed a cup. Gas prices are the same at every petroleum station in The City so expect no savings. Casey's is also right by Jefferson County Health Center (the local hospital /Dr's complex). If you're in town, headed to Burlington/Outtuma - stop in for a fill-up and a beverage - both will be accompanied with a smile!
