After nearly 8 years, I'm still beyond grateful for Casey's mastery with hair! Her ideas and suggestions are always fresh and current so that my hair can look it's best. I truly value Casey's skills. When it comes to color she is a true genius! With long hair, I so enjoy the time Casey spends styling it. What a treat! To go in looking like a rat's nest (because I was lazy) and leave looking like I'm ready for a date night out with my husband!!! read more

Casey Rae - Casey is a miracle worker with color and extensions! - Hair Stylists Near Me - San Marcos, California

Casey has been my hair stylist for over 4 years and the health of my hair has never been better. Casey is especially gifted with redheads and has given me a natural redhead look that I've received compliments on for years. Casey is concious of the products and techniques she uses and cares about the condition of my hair. I can't recommended her enough! read more

Casey has been doing my hair color, trims, and extensions for the past 9 months. So far I am very satisfied and definitely recommend her for all of the services mentioned above! Since she has been doing my hair, I get compliments all the time - especially on the color. Casey is really great with highlights - they always come out just perfect. She is also fabulous with extensions. She uses the tape kind that do not damage hair and are unnoticeable. No one believes that I have extensions in because they look so natural! The color is matched perfectly and she blends them really well. Even my friends that do hair couldn't tell and just thought my hair had grown this much since the last time I saw them :) I am so excited that she is now doing Brazilian Blowouts because now I can have all my hair needs taken care of by one person. Her prices are very reasonable and appointments can easily be made via texting which is awesome for me. She is located inside Salon Sultry on Grand Ave. Highly recommend Casey. You will not be disappointed! read more

I've been getting my hair done by Casey for almost two years now & every time it is absolutely spectacular. I consistently get a trim, color, treatment, and style - so basically the works - and it has never disappointed me. I have long, dark, thick, and naturally wavy hair and Casey knows exactly what to do with it to keep it shiny, healthy, and glamorous. Sometimes I go into the solan with a specific idea of what I want - which she executes perfectly - and sometimes I ask for her suggestions and go with it. Either way, my hair is always on point when I leave and I get lots of compliments on the color and style. Makes a gal feel great! I've also gone to see Casey to get my hair styled for an event. She did an excellent job creating a beautiful hairstyle that I hadn't even worn before. It felt like I was an ethereal fairy woodland princess going to meet my Aragorn. (Thank you again, Casey.) Not to mention, she's just a fabulous person. Witty, funny, and genuinely nice. Obviously, referencing my above Lord of the Rings reference, she puts up with my nerdy banter and doesn't send me marching. Lol. Now, my hair is so long that I don't need extensions, but I know that Casey is spectacular with them just by seeing some of her other clients' beautiful heads of hair. The Kevin Murphy products she uses are amazing! There are so many and they feel & smell great. My boyfriend always comments on how great my hair looks & smells after I see Casey (which is a testament to how great she is - how often do boyfriends notice when their girl changes up their hair?! Lol) Also, my boyfriend gets his hair cut by Casey as well. He's a pretty great template to work with already, (I'm slightly biased, but it's the truth!) but he always looks even more dapper & handsome after he gets his hair cut by Casey. We adore her! You're not paying for a Great Clips haircut (sorry to throw you under the bus, Great Clips) so don't expect it. But pricing isn't anything even remotely crazy. I go in about every 8-9 weeks to get the whole package. It's totally affordable. And it's 100% worth it. You'll look amazing after seeing Casey! read more

Casey has been doing my hair for over 10 years. She's the only person I would ever trust with my hair! I moved to Dallas a few years ago and whenever I come back home I make sure I get an appointment in with her to do my hair. I've had every cut and color in the book and she always does a fantastic job! I made the mistake of getting a spur of the moment trim from a friend that just graduated and she cut it so crooked I thought it was unfixable. Went to San Diego a month later and she fixed it and it didn't even seem that much shorter! I would recommend Casey to anyone read more

Casey has been doing my hair for over a year now and she is great! To be honest, I have never really had a hairdresser that I consistently go to before her. I always feel like hairdressers have a difficult time with my hair. It is coarse, frizzy, wavy/curly... I can usually sense the stylist's discomfort when they try to blow dry it smooth haha. Casey, however, is wonderful with my hair and really does a great job styling it. I see her regularly for trims and color touchups. I get complimented on my hair color ALL the time now. Beyond all that, I genuinely enjoy sitting in her chair. There's nothing more uncomfortable than sitting in a hairdresser's chair while they do their work... and having nothing to talk about with them. And awkward small talk is the worst! Casey is so easy to get along with and chat with that it just makes the appointment so much more enjoyable. I feel like she really takes the time to get to know her clients. I genuinely look forward to my appointments and would recommend her to anyone! Plus, her salon is super cute! ;-) read more

I just started coming to Casey based on a recommendation from another stylist. Thanks to the pandemic, it had been 9 months since I had my hair done. Casey spent a lot of time listening to my needs and desires before starting in. She did a cut and partial highlight and the results were fantastic. She also gave me some styling tips and great recommendations for products that would address issues I'd been having with thinning hair. Her salon is a bright and cheery private room located in a suite of independent salons. It is closed off from the rest of the salons so you aren't exposed to all the noise (and potential Covid germs) from other stylists and clients. She and I both wore masks the whole time and I felt totally safe. Casey is a fun and positive person to talk to, and I left feeling like I had known her for years. It was a great experience in all respects and I will definitely be coming back! read more

I found Casey through Yelp when I moved to North County about 5 years ago. I was very hesitant about getting a new hair stylist, but she exceeded all my expectations. She is an expert when it comes to color. She uses the Kevin Murphy line and I am addicted! My favorite products are the KM Angel Blonde Wash and Conditioner, and Bedroom Hair Spray. She also gives the perfect hair cut every time. Both my kids (teens) also love to go to Casey. My daughter especially likes the extra attention Casey gives when she braids her hair or provides her with the latest hair trend accessory. I also have to say I enjoy our time together chit chatting as we have now become friends. I highly recommend Casey!!! read more

Casey is amazing. From first initial contact, with thorough communication to meeting her and immediately feeling like she understood what I was asking for. She is passionate and driven with her hair practice, uses quality products and makes sure to do a great job. Ive always used clip-in extensions, but after seeing her work, I had her put extensions in. I also use Casey for colors and cuts and have gotten something different each time. Rest assured in her chair, shes got you & she's very talented. read more

I have been seeing Casey for all of my hair styling needs for so long now that I cannot even remember the last time I saw someone else! She is always honest about what is best for my hair because I'm the kind of person that would have different color hair every day if I could. She doesn't have clients just to make money, but genuinely cares about them and it shows. Plus, I always come out of her salon with silky beautiful hair and feeling like a million bucks! I recommend Casey to everyone I know! read more

Casey is fantastic!! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and sweet hair stylist. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new stylist. I found her through Yelp a few months ago and now wouldn't go anywhere else. I came to her at 32 weeks pregnant with my hair in need of some major love (I had not color treated it in 8 months and it was looking very dull). After she cut and colored it, my hair had new life! I have only been to her twice but both times I felt very comfortable and walked away extremely happy. I also love the Kevin Murphy products she uses and purchased a few items from the line to use at home. Great service all around! read more

Casey did a great job with my haircut. She did exactly what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions on how to work with my naturally blonde hair. She was also quick, friendly and the salon was very quiet and comfortable. read more

I'm a natural redhead and when I started to go gray in my early 20s, I freaked out - till I found Casey. Not only did she "undo" what previous stylists had done that did NOT look natural or help me with my grays, but she made my hair look so vibrant and beautiful. I've been seeing her for years now and she always tells me what my hair needs to keep it looking red and healthy. I don't want anyone to know I started going gray so young and thanks to Casey, no one does. I think I was also afraid of looking like a fake redhead and Casey erased that worry with my first visit. Plus, hanging out with Casey every 6 weeks is the best. She's so sweet and kind and funny. It's so fun that I look forward to my visits for multiple reasons! Go see Casey - you won't be disappointed. read more

I moved here in late 2014 and Casey was the first stylist I found. She is kind, professional and takes much care to listen to Me and my special hair needs. She uses quality hair cRe products and I have been using them for over a year now. I enjoy her very much and I get compliments on my hair frequently . I won't be looking for anyone else to do my hair. You'll love her. read more

I moved here a year ago and have tried a few salons in the area. After a really disappointing cut and color at another salon I was desperate to find someone who just "gets" it. A friend referred me to gingerly and I decided to give it a try. Casey is a true professional who is honest, forthright and really talented! The consultation was the first sign that I was going to have great results. She really listened to me but also had no qualms telling me what would not work well for my hair and why. She also was really intuitive and while we were chatting, she actually cut my hair to fit my busy lifestyle. I've washed it now and styled it on my own and LOVE the way it looks - it even air-dries well because of the way she cut and blended the layers into my waves. Not kidding - one of the best cuts I've ever had and the color is EXACTLY what I pictured which I just feel like never really happens. I went from brown to a warm light brown with highlights. AND the price was less than what the other salon charged (yeah, the one that wrecked my hair). Also, treat yourself and buy some of the Kevin Murphy products because they rock. I got the "night rider" paste since I wear my hair back often and have fly-aways...this stuff keeps it in line, in place and moisturized. read more

After my former hairstylist moved out of state, I was left searching for a new stylist. After several not so great encounters at other businesses, I was extremely fortunate to find Casey Rae. Casey Rae takes the time to listen to her clients and discuss what they are looking for, without trying to pushing them in the direction of the latest trend or her personal choice. She is extremely knowledgeable and is always helpful when you have questions or are looking for something new. Initially it was just myself that was going to Casey Rae, and now it is the whole family. We cannot recommend her highly enough and are so glad to have found a new home. read more

I have just recently moved to the area and was very hesitant to get a new hairdresser. After reading Casey's outstanding reviews I decided to give her a shot. She just opened a new salon. It is very chic and modern. Casey is very professional and knows her stuff! Color, cut...everything was on point! I have found my new hairdresser! Thanks Casey!!!! read more

I have been unsatisfied with my hair for most of my life. Casey makes me love my hair. She listens, and I am always happy with my haircut. I also get my hair dyed to hide the gray, and she matches it to my hair color, and when it grows, the only way I can tell is that the grey hairs catch the light. read more

I have been going to Casey now for quite a few years...and she is definitely a true artist when it comes to my red hair! Every month I have more and more gray hair to hide and she does it so it looks natural and healthy!! I love her new salon...sooo comfortable and professional..she makes every visit a joy!
