Too bad you don't have zeros for rating!! Poor bedside manor , I asked his office to ask him to give me a call for a quick personal question I had ...! He called me at the end of his day & berated me for 10 minutes for the request!!! Had he waited until the following day , had my file open it would have taken one minute for the answer !!! He actually hung up on me after yelling at me to make another appointment, when I already had had the pre-op appointment !!! (A professional caring doctor would have had my file opened & could have answered my question in a minute ). I would Not ever let him operate on me & I will never go there again ... I am gladly going to a more updated eye center now , that has updated equipment & happily explains !! Casey needs to retire !!! read more

This office seems to be very well run. The ladies up front were all very nice and efficient with clear instructions. The next lady who called me and took me to the room was VERY nice. Rather funny, and really made me feel ease, asking me questions. Then having me read the letters, and finally the eye pressure test. Finally, the doctor was very good. Took the time to listen to me. And then the final lady who scheduled my surgery, also very good. A well oiled machine would describe this office. Glad I picked this one. read more

Dr. Paul Casey's patient communication skills leave much to be desired. He speaks in medical jargon without translating or putting the information in layman's terms. When you ask for clarification, he becomes curt, rude, and extremely condescending. I decided to give this clinic a second chance after leaving with a similar experience several years ago. Don't take that chance! I saw Dr. Casey in September for my annual eye exam. When I met with him, he asked what problems I had been having. I explained that I had not experienced any notable vision changes but relayed some of the concerns of my prior opthamalogist, double vision occasionally, ptosis which is slightly worse in the right eye, and a light prescription for computer work. He immediately jumped right to the ptosis telling me that he would rather do surgery than have me continue to use the eye drops I was previously described. He felt surgery would correct the problems I was having. He advised that he needed me to come back for a longer appointment 2-3 hours to do several tests, take pictures, and measure my eyes. I came back today and got completely different treatment, The technician told me she couldn't pull my eye drop name from my chart so I looked it up on my phone and found it for her. She did one test and took me back to the doctor. He asked her to do another test and then photos. She acted funny, they went out in the hall, and he came back in and took pictures of me with his iPhone. No mention of the other tests, no description of what else to expect, nothing. Then he told me to take a walk with him. He ended up dropping me off in the optical center to pick out and try on reading glasses at +1. The employee in the eye center advised that they do not carry reading glasses that weak. In fact, she advised she has never seen them carried anywhere that low. She was embarrassed and a little confused as to next steps. He asked her to drop me off at the checkout area for a follow up appointment but, in her words, "I'm not really sure what he is following up on because we do not have these lenses". She asked Dr. Casey about next steps and he proceeded to lecture both her and I in the reception area as if we were the most stupid people he had ever laid eyes on. Essentially, he made fun of me for doing what he asked, trying to read a card with the glasses he asked me to use. I have had the luxury of having perfect vision for 38 years and counting and this jerk acted like I should understand everything about eyesight in one 40 minute appointment. I can be treated this way without paying for it...and I don't choose to. I will mention that I am giving another doctor at the practice a chance and I have filed a complaint with the clinic. I am eager to see if they do anything at all. read more

Oh how could I have ever trusted something as precious as my eyesight to this incompetent doctor. He has been treating me for Filamentary Keratitis. I went in and had the mucous strands removed with forceps and a medicated contact lens inserted. He must have scratched my eye because it is so terribly painful now. I left a message with a worker to speak with someone about the pain but they have not returned my call. And it's almost 5:30 so I don't think they will call. Also, I asked about a specific eye treatment from a compounding pharmacy and he didn't know anything about it. He did say that he would research it but he is obviously not up on all of the treatments available. Do not go to this eye doctor unless you would rather lose your eyesight. Also I don't feel that my eye glass prescription is optimal. Save yourself-Go somewhere else! I certainly will go elsewhere now. read more

This was my first time at the Nevada Eye Care Center. Dr Casey was very professional, as was the rest of the staff. He explained my condition and explained what he recommended for me. He didn't try to push anything on me, as a patient. He also was great at answering all my questions. I was very pleased with my visit and am happy to now have Dr Casey as my eye care specialist. Dr. Casey's assistant was not the best. Last time Dr. Casey checked my vision the last time I went his assistant did all the test for prescriptions. She was not experienced enough for me to feel comfortable with the prescription I got from her. read more

Dr. Paul Casey and the caring staff at the Nevada Eye Care Center have changed my life! I saw Dr. Casey in August 2015, while facing many vision issues. I had extreme strabismus that had followed me from childhood into adulthood, as well as, horrible nearsightedness and double vision. I literally could not see out of both of my eyes at the same time. However, after consulting with Dr. Casey, I learned that I was a candidate for strasbismus surgey and vision correction. (I had seen several eye care professionals through out the past eight years, and none of them had the knowledge and skill, or the ability to help me like Dr. Casey had.) He and his staff, especially the wonderful, caring, and helpful CeCe walked me through the entire process and were able to expedite my treatment and aftercare. Dr. Paul Casey answered all of my questions; and I felt assured in his professional and personal abilities to provide me with the best treatment available. The surgery in itself went very well, and I was over joyed and pleased with the results. After I had healed and recovered from my initial strabismus surgery, I elected to have Lasik surgery in December 2015. I am so happy that I made the choice to visit Dr. Casey and entrust him with my vision. I am now proud to say that have I 20/15 vision, and can see the entire world around me for the first time in my entire life. I saw Dr. Casey in February 2019. I had cataracts. He was very informative and explained everything so I could make an informed decision. I appreciate the time he took with me, he didn't rush through the exam. We discussed all my options and then scheduled surgery. I had both of my eye done in March and I see 20/20 out of both eyes. Dr. Casey, Took my vision of 20/30 in my left to 20/200 and when I asked him how he could be so far off he physically got mad at me and when he realized he had lost his cool, you could see he tried to calm himself down and told me I could see 20/20. There is no way he should of been so arrogant when I could not even read the large letters on the eye chart. Such a tremendous ego saying that there is not another doctor in 1,000 miles that can do what he does. Meanwhile my vision is worse than I went in.After complaining he tried to get me to sign a waiver and compensate me so that I would not divulge his mistake. He leaves the doors open I could hear him discussing everyone's medical information and they could hear mine.I am a busy man and was so irritated I took the time to report him to HIPPA and the Nevada Medical Board.
