But I have health insurance so to get the most out of it I come here every 2 years for a check up and teeth clean. I'm sure you can imagine how I felt a few days ago when I injured a front tooth. The same one that a few yrs ago I had chipped and had had fixed. (A bit terrified) Dr Jamie Taylor made it all ok. Not only did he keep me calm throughout fixing my poor half broken front tooth, but it also didn't hurt and now no one can pick which tooth it was. HUGE shout out to Dr Jamie Taylor! There are other dentists at this clinic whom I'm sure are great, but I have only seen Jamie. I feel obliged to mention the always lovely and professional reception staff, the nice waiting room, that they deal easily with health insurance claims and of course Jamie's lovely assistant who patted my arm half way through and told me how brave she thought I was being. (It helped) If I ever move out of the area, no matter how far, Jamie will still be my dentist.

Yes, sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but it's because they're not rushing you through like you're just a number; they are quite thorough and caring. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone in need of good, professional medical help. It's also quite useful having a pathology lab on hand as well.

A thorough initial assessment led by Dr Fern White revealed a pretty bleak outlook without comprehensive treatment. This came as no surprise after some 70 years of dental work, latterly much of it just patching up. Offered three options I chose the top programme. Some months of intensive treatment later, thanks to Dr Mikhil and colleagues I now have a set of strong teeth and a confident smile. I cannot speak too highly of this practice where the different skills of the team are brought together effectively and caringly . Everyone seems to know who you are and what stage your treatment is at and problems along the way are rapidly addressed. Whilst the initial outlay seemed a challenge, it was actually a very good deal for the hours of work and complexity of treatment I received.

I had stressful experiences as a teenager with rough dentists, but I really needed some help. The whole team at Beacon Cove are friendly and always eager to help me feel at ease. I got a full plan of my treatment and now that it is finished I feel like a new man. Their attention to detail was amazing, it was perfection or nothing for them. I am so thankful to the dentists and nurses who were always patient with me and acted very kindly, as I am sure I was being a bit childish at times. It is now a pleasure visiting the dentist, as it should be. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

This might mean pottering along Chapel Street for an hour or two before you can get served but no one ever has complains about that. Once you're in, you'll not only get the dedicated service of a nail specialist (or sometimes two) while you sit back in the large, comfy massage chairs and indulge in a little me-time. The use quality OPI nail varnish and have a wide selection of services including acrylic and nail art. A mani and pedi cost just $45 - definitely worth the visit! I'm a regular at this place and I've never had a bad experience - which is very important since some places charge the earth and you still end up being served by a pompous, know-it-all who can't stop yacking or worse still, the lazy TV addict who just can't seem to focus on your nails. Greville Nails is just the opposite: hard working, courteous service which won't cost you an arm and a leg. If you're going on a weekend, make a booking!

I always enjoy my regular visits to the orthodontist here!…read more I'm currently midway through my Invisalign course. Setting aside the slightly high price tag for the entire course, Smile Solutions does offer a great experience for what is usually an uncomfortable process. Since I've been visiting about 1.5 years ago, I've always had top notch customer service from these guys! One minor down side is that this is a huge establishment with a large team of dentists, orthodontists, and support staff, and rather packed schedules. As such, I've dealt with numerous hygienists and dentists (thank god my orthodontist has been the same!). This is mitigated by the fact that every one of the staff members I've dealt with are highly professional and deliver knowledgeable and amazing service! The Manchester Unity building is also one of the most beautiful refurb Art Deco buildings I've seen in Melbourne and Smile Solutions does a great job preserving the authenticity of this building while providing a comfortable environment!

It's a very relaxing space set up on the first floor of the historic art deco historic Manchester Unity Building in the CBD...it's worth a visit just to see the architectural features of this building! This is one fancy office. And yes, the other Yelpers are correct.... the lobby does smell like vanilla. My dentist and hygienist were both professional and did their genuine best to reduce any pain/discomfort. I had to get one of my fillings replaced, and opted to go with a porcelain filling, which they molded on site. It was a definite state of the art experience...this was the first practice I've been to that used cerec fillings...they digital scan your teeth to determine the shape of the filling and then 5 to 10 minutes later the filling is complete and ready to be placed in your mouth....no more sending a mold out to a lab, no temporary fillings, you're in and out quickly! The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is the price. It's very expensive though I guess that's the cost of going to a Collins Street dentist.

He can't do anything spectacular but he does the normal stuff well and makes sure you don't feel any pain. That is, unless you're my father and refuse pain medication. Dr. Irving is also happy to accommodate for people like that too. He is good at making patients feel at ease, which is all I really ask of a dentist. Thumbs up!
