A couple weeks after he started, the texts of "I need more money for excess materials" started. Apparently, this is standard practice for him, according to Mascoutah police (not his only problem but not my business either). I had to involve police after the harassing and threatening texts came in, after I paid him in full! He was paid $5500, the price listed on the contract but he wanted $700 for the above excess materials. Of course, no receipt was produced but many excuses were. Although the shed was built, the base fill dirt, complete with broken concrete pieces and cigarette butts, and rock base was not completed. The rocks never arrived. The shed is smaller than it's supposed to be, roughly 9.5x11. The contract quoted a 10x12 shed that is to be movable, per Village instructions, with a rock bed base. Buyer beware!!!

I did a $50k renovation of my 1908 victorian and these guys showed up at 7:30 every morning and worked steadily all day. All of their craftsmen had great attitudes, were friendly and hard workers. Nathan the Project Manager returned calls quickly and was available via text and email. Kept the project on time and finished in six weeks. My favorite was Greg who worked on site everyday and was able to troubleshoot any problem we had. Nothing ruffled him and he always said "we will figure it out". Gave me a great deal of relief and confidence that the project would be done right. Really was well organized and did top notch work. A gem!
