After the first person took my pulse I was told they would take it again in 5-10mins. It felt like 3 minutes. Had they waited a bit longer, my pulse would have gone down because the anxiety was lessening. I can feel it physically when my anxiety is high and I can feel it going away. With the need for donors, I would think they would have waited to check because they could have gotten a donation from me. The staff were nice but I don't think they really cared for me to donate blood. I rescheduled the appointment but not sure I will ever donate blood again as this experience was off putting. With rising prices, I not only wasted time, but gas too.

But once you do, expect to start receiving the constant texts and calls from unknown numbers lol. After all these years, Red Cross still has not updated their systems. I think experienced donors know how I feel. But onto the subject of this place: ~ Its a fairly big facility with an open quad area. Blood donations in the front. Blood platelets and plasma in the back, in an enclosed glass section. ~ What's also great about this place is the staff. I've always ran into the elderly ladies at check-in that are smiling and helpful. The technicians I've ran into have ranged from normal yet talkative, to near-zombie-like and anti- social. ~ The preparation area and equipment used for platelet/plasma donation is quite clean. I've seen technicians wipe things down, and bring in new sealed kits. Its definitely different when donating platelets. Overall, this location does an excellent job in getting donors set up and checked-in properly. The bed, or gurney, used are clean as is the equipment. I'll likely return six months from now for another donation. But I bet I'll receive over 20-30 calls/text from RC before then.

Top Gun is quicker on the draw than a second impeachment with the end result being Donny Trumpolini and his feckless cabal to prison!

The facilities are a bit dated, but this is supposedly the longest running CPR training facility in Oregon. Pretty cool! The class involves practicing individual and team CPR for adults, children and infants as well as use of an AED. The pace was good and the breaks were adequate. Parking was easy and the assessment of my skill to become certified was reasonable. There was a practical skill check at multiple points and a written test at the very end. My only issue was that the class was scheduled from 10:00-2:30 but I didn't leave until nearly 2:45. While the instruction was very wonderful, I had to rush back to work since the class ran over. Check it out if you are looking for a course that infuses relevance and knowledge. I definitely feel confident using my skill out in the world, even if I hope every single day that I never have to use it in real life. I also got a little life advice during my class: practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

I have never written a Yelp review before, but I had to give these people a good review because they were excellent and I actually enjoyed what I learned because they made it fun and interesting, and I could tell that they really knew their material well and have used it in their work as paramedics. I took my BLS from PCC, but I would recommend Cascade over PCC hands down.

The HR person isn't on site and when you text or email them it takes days for them to answer and then when you fill out your ins information with your address they mess it up and put the centers address as your home address and you cant fix it without having them completely redo the application. The Hr Person is basically non existent in the company. They used to have Greta benefits but have recently started taking them away so workers had to form a union but since no bargaining session has happened yet they are still treating employees very badly.

Rick and Ryan and Im sorry I dont remember everyones name were also knowledgeable and excellent in there roles as instructors.The class was very professional and yet very relaxed,as the Instructors brought their own sense of humor to the course.this was my 21st time redoing all these courses and this was the BEST Ive been to yet.Will definitely be back and would love to teach at a facility like this. read more

Steve also made sure to stress the important facts, especially when it comes to firearm safety. You can never be too cautious when working with a firearm and I applaud their efforts to teach people important information. If you do decide to take one of their classes, make sure if you don't completely understand the immediate topic to ask your questions. Steve made sure to take the time to go over any questions that were asked so that the person asking the question felt they had a sufficient understanding before he moved on to the next piece of information.

This isn't complicated stuff, but she couldn't manage it! I tried, repeatedly, to understand where she was confusing the matter and in the end I just couldn't do it. My brain was going to burst. She couldn't manage to schedule a returning patient properly?!? That's it. Poor management trickles down into all aspects of any business and I'll take my time and efforts elsewhere. Basically I feel as though I just paid for the privilege of being dicked around. And what limited 'treatment' I received has only served to make the pain I sought treatment for worse. The Neutral: The students are refining their craft - they may not know to elevate your head just a bit if you're having trouble with the water jet cleaning tool. The Bad: The administration. They allow patients NO agency as to their own care. You either accept their treatment regimen, or you're out the door. This means LOTS of xrays. Unwarranted head xrays aren't my idea of a good time, so I'm no longer a patient. If they're worried about liability around not having xrays, why don't they have the patient sign a waiver?

She gives the right amount of pressure, is professional and not too chatty (I like to meditate when I get a massage) and her prenatal massages are wonderful. Plus she accepts insurance at Bloom! Initially, I was going to her to reduce what I thought were tension headaches in the first trimester. I noticed the first two times when I put my head face down on the table the headache would increase. She figured out it was sinus related and recommended sinus flushing. Once I started flushing the sinuses with saline solution, relief took over. In addition, I completed Lori's "Hypnobirthing" class this past November. Our second child is due mid January. I cannot express how grateful I am that she offers this course. There are things I learned that I wish I knew four years ago when I had my first water birth. I feel well-prepared, calm, yet excited, to meet our new "hypno-water birth" baby! UPDATe: Her hypnobirthing class is exceptional. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl who weighed in just under 9 pounds. I was able to labor at home and then drive with my husband to the Alma Waterbirth Center. Birthed my baby in water within 45 minutes of arrival. Little to no pain except during crowning.
