Ken was nice enough, but they did not even attempt to fix the 2 things I brought my Jeep in for. Loose steering & auto transmission shifting poorly. He said Lifted Jeeps always have steering problems & they won't work on that. Ok. Even though it was written down in their apt book to look at my transmission, they did not. Forgot to & wouldn't when I asked about it. "You're lucky I took you in at all". he didn't tell me that until after I was picking up my Jeep. My 1st time there, so of course I didn't know of this bias. Again, I wish I knew that before bringing my Jeep in. I did however spend $1k for them replace inner axle seals as he advised. I like my Jeep to be in good repair. It dripped axle oil on my clean garage floor when I got it home, but only for a day. Update: Nothing to do with Hopfe directly, but 4 weeks after that appt my Jeep is gushing transmission fluid when I started it up today. It's been parked 100% in my garage for 2 weeks. Less then 11 miles driven since I asked them to look at the transmission. It seems I was right to seek a repair before something worse happened. Just too bad they didn't. 2nd Update: I was really in a bind & needed to get my Jeep fixed ASAP. Hopfe was kind enough to examine my Jeep Transmission leak even though Hopfe was booked solid for the next 3-4 weeks (August). We agreed that he probably would not have time to do the repair, but it would be super helpful for me to know if I need to go to a transmission shop or a general automotive repair shop. He reported back less than 3 hours later; saying it is a transmission front pump seal, no charge for the diagnosis. A huge favor, which I greatly appreciated. So I found a shop in COS & took it in for a transmission repair - front pump seal.... Imagine my surprise after all this - when the shop in COS (No relation to Hopfe) reports that leak is not transmission fluid, but engine coolant. What a surprise. Not transmission fluid. Not a transmission leak. That other shop fixed the problem by replacing the engine oil cooler. The transmission was fine & not leaking. Really not sure what to say about that.

Told by Shelly they would not set appt. because of the electrical issue until Clint called me & discussed it. After appx. 1-1/2 wks. w/no call I called back and told Shelly no one had called & I let her know the elec. situation had changed & the rear a/c no longer worked. I also asked specifically about doing the alignment & freon for front a/c w/o addressing the electrical issue. Again told by Shelly they would not set an appt. & she would have Clint call me. Appx. 2 wks. later w/no call I went in. Shelly said she would have to speak w/Clint & went into a room behind the front desk & spoke w/Clint who apparently was in that room, came out & said he would not work on it. I asked again about an appt. for the a/c and alignment w/o addressing the electrical, or an appt. for the alignment only. All she would say was he will not work on it. No explanation or additional information was provided. The conversation was apparently over. Never spoke w/anyone other than Shelly and have no idea why they wouldn't work on it. Won't ever go back.
