It had been years since that leg and hip had worked well so the muscles were weak and I was in quite a bit of pain. The hip replacement - hardware, etc. - were doing well but the muscles, not so much. I am so glad I found Benchmark in West Linn! Ryan is very knowledgeable and knew exactly what this older woman needed to get back to walking pain-free. In addition, under his direction, I've gained flexibility, strength and more endurance through his exercises. I'm simply amazed at how quickly my body has responded with his expertise and encouragement. Jenna at the front desk is charming and helpful; when I changed insurance companies and couldn't figure out the website to see if Benchmark was covered by the new insurance, she stepped right in and figured it out. Grateful for her cheerful smile every time I - or anyone else - show up for an appointment. Right now, there are a couple of students doing their hands-on training, overseen by Ryan, and theyll do great with Ryan as a mentor/trainer. I then had to wait to schedule this until the injection was approved by Moda. Moda approved Efflexa, a certain brand, but this place doesn't have it. So I had to do the work to call Moda, and even the pharmacy where the injection comes from called me, before I got an approval letter for it. ROC said that they don't carry what was approved. What??????!!! Even Moda was confused. I'm just going to go to another orthopedic. I can't even call to talk to someone. Whoever replies to the texts lacks customer service. It has been about two weeks since I was there!! So Moda said to try someone else. Funny, they mentioned to me that ROC advertised Euflexxa. Tell your employees then. I was so incredibly disappointed.

He fixed me up .....and then a year later due to a car accident, had to do another surgery.... my knee is great..... now fast forward into time where I have now a shoulder AND ankle issue. He has done 2 surgeries on my shoulder and will be reconstructing my ankle. He is a wonderful surgeon that explains things, although if you do not ask questions he will assume you know what he is talking about. So people he is not a mind reader, you need to ask questions. I obviously thought enough of him to come back to him to further my repairs.......even if he does keep shooting down my ideas of making me bionic......

This is how surgeons avoid treating patients that don't either have the right insurance or don't want to do that particular surgery. What I don't understand is lying. My physician prescribed physical therapy for a sciatica problem I had for years and had become so…read moreintolerable it was affecting my sleep and quality of life. I found out about Active Edge Physical Therapy from a friend or mine who had great results with that group and so I made an appointment with Chris Woods one of their physical therapists. I have to say this was the best experience and especially the most beneficial treatment I have had for my sciatica. I no longer have the "killer" pain running down my right leg and I have cut back significantly with the pain medication I had been taking. Chris identified my problem right away and began using deep movements, stretching, and strengthening to address the problem. Moreover, the home exercises he prescribed empowered me to improve my problem over a short amount of time and significantly improved my "body awareness." I continue to use these easy at-home exercises on a regular basis; they are life-long lessons that Chris provided specifically for my particular issue. Chris made the sessions both fun and educational too! I have to say too, that the front counter staff at AEPT are wonderful! They provided a complete report of what my insurance would cover BEFORE I started the treatment and were very pleasant to work with.
