Terrible communication and failed deadlines…read more I placed my order on 7/18/26 and paid a 50% deposit, with a contract specifying installation on 9/20/26. It is now a month past that deadline (10/20/26), and there has been zero activity from CT Cellar Doors. The company has provided zero follow-up or communication. They have offered absolutely no help in resolving their own fabrication and company issues. When I speak with the salesman, he remains completely non-committal, stating the he is not involved in the decision making and it is outside of his control. He defers to his supervisor, Director of Sales Eric Shearn who is unreachable and unresponsive. This is a classic case of over-promising and under-delivering. It has been a very poor experience for what is supposed to be a premium product. We are genuinely concerned whether or not this is a legitimate company and if we will every see our money back or the product installed.

However they measured a window wrong and told us that it would take awhile to get it in because it was a custom size. He said that we would be given warrantees for both the siding and the windows which we have never seen and I believe that he has his money and we will never see again.

After agreeing to complete the work and ordering windows, we were told they were too busy to complete our project. After some back and forth, they ultimately agreed to complete as planned. From the start we had issues with our order and things being delayed. While the windows and siding and out great, it was not worth the headache to get there. The project was delayed for months and when completed, our house was left a mess. We found fast food bags and coffee cups in the mulch beneath our windows, there was significant debris left inside the home, as well as pieces of wood (even though we paid for a dumpster that was sitting in our driveway!), and the windows were never cleaned. Very disappointing and would not use again.

Cathy visited my property twice for discussion of options and pricing. She is very straight forward and no nonsense, and offered good suggestions. The door quoted was a Provia and although expensive, is the first thing visitors see when coming to our home. It was ultimately more than worth the money. Darek the master carpenter, came once to carefully measure the existing door, lights and woodwork. Ultimately we needed a custom size door built at the factory. His measurements were so accurate, the new door fit perfectly first try in the opening when stood up. Darek performed the removal and new install and is truly a talented professional. We felt lucky to have his skill, and although I'm not a carpenter, I could tell via his work he is excellent. The finished entryway to our home is now amazing and went from rotten to beautiful. Per Cathy's suggestion, I immediately had the surrounding millwork and wood work refinished and painted long before the door install. Again a sage suggestion and saves me money from not losing that to the elements. I highly recommend these professionals.

Not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but the only company to provide an in-home demo of the actual windows we were purchasing. With such a big home improvement project, you want to feel confident that you made the right choice. Shortly after signing the paperwork, they sent someone out to measure. Then we waited quite a while for the job to be scheduled. Unfortunately, installation occurred during a weeklong heat wave. Yet the guys rarely complained, and spent four full days installing our windows. If I have any complaints, it's about their after sale customer service. The day our installation wrapped up, I noticed a slash in one of the screens, and was assured they'd order a replacement and have it sent to us. Three months later we still had no screen, so my husband and I started calling. Every call was treated as a brand new sales call and no one seemed to know anything about our replacement screen. Finally, someone came out and made us a new screen onsite. However, he re-screened it too tightly, and the frame warped. More phone calls and more confusion on their part made us feel like we were in the twilight zone. Ultimately, we took the frame to their office and they fixed it there, which was an additional inconvenience. Other than these few snafus, we're happy with the work.

The siding crew was approachable, efficient, and worked consistently until the job was done. The gutter team was also very dexterous and skilled, completing their job on a very hot day. What I liked best about this company was how well they communicated when and what things would be done to the house. They were good about setting dates and keeping to the promised schedule. If someone was going to come out to the house for a task, they always informed me about it. If I had a question or concern, they were easily reachable. Unlike some contractors I've had in the past, they didn't disappear for weeks in the middle of the job. They got it done quickly all in one go and on time, which meant minimal disruption to my daily routine. Highly recommended!
