In our case, we arrived very late but Los Olivos was gracious and helpful. We had a one-night stay in the Airbnb style apartments, but they had someone at the 24h desk at their resort portion, and she was super helpful/responsive even late. We checked in and were able to get to our apartment quickly. Everything was as described. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room with pull-out bed. We all had great sleep and were fresh for more travel the next morning. Alcala del Jucar is just breathtaking and while there are no museums (except Cueva del Diablo), outdoor sporting activities are big, especially along the river. Los Olivos has a beautiful resort campus as well, which enhances guest enjoyment and gives more of a destination feel to the lodging itself. Despite the warm weather outdoor activities, there were fireplaces and bbqs all over the place, which would make for a fun winter escape to hole up and cook asados for a cozy dinner, too! Unfortunately there is currently a plumbing issue in Spain that allows sewer gas to escape, and this can make living spaces that sit unused have a smell. Our apartment had probably sat unused for a bit and there was a temporary smell upon arrival. Note that this happened in a few properties of the numerous hotels where we stayed throughout our weeks in Spain. Once we used the sinks and toilet the smell was gone.

I also like the idea of guests adding their notes about particular restaurants. The nearby Chinese buffet is exceptional value for money. The pool is larger than most you find in these types of villas. I have no hesitation in recommending this villa, and the owner.
