A large waiter came out to growl at us to get off the patio! 5 minutes later he grudgingly let us in. Then the officious "maitre d" seated us inside at a rickety little table under a blazing naked light bulb. And deigned to serve a couple of glass of sour white wine. Then came a big tour bus group of noisy Americans... At this point, we cut our visit to this horrible place short and headed to the Airelles for a civilized meal with pleasant wait staff.

Indeed I would have given 5 stars except that I woke with a splitting headache in the night, and thus I suspect the restaurant uses MSG on their food, which would account for the fantastic flavors. But this is precisely how my body reacts to MSG. If you are unaffected by MSG, you would probably love the food here. Had I not ended up with the headache, we would have returned another evening because the duck was wonderful and the lamb was also outstanding. The Shitake tart was equally delicious and my husband very much enjoyed his lemon dessert.

It's a cozy dining room with a big wood fireplace. Thick white walls are adorned with wire sculpture from local artists. The young French and Italian servers are friendly and we're very patient with our poor French. They speak English as well, and gave very good recommendations.
