On a sunny day you can sit on the terrace and even have a view over the Ria de Arousa. The menu mainly consists of fresh fish, paella or rice dishes. There are also some tapas and meat dishes. We chose paella, with sea fruit and meat. There were also variations with veggies or lobster. The paella is served like it should be: in a pan coming straight from the stove. It is dished up on a side table and served out by the waiter. Quite a service! The taste was ok, not the best one I have ever tasted. And to my surprise the chicken I was thinking I was eating, was rabbit!!!! Not my taste. There are some homemade desserts (like cheesecake or flan) and Italian ice team. The nicest thing about this place was the fact that both the waiter as well as Paco himself (the owner) were super friendly to our little 2 year old boy running around. They even indicated we did not have to get up from our table when he ran of towards the road in front of it. We actually could relatively peacefully eat our meal.

The welcome was warm and friendly as we arrived early - 2030hrs is when they open for dinner, edited here on Google. We shared a bottle of delicious Galician red wine from Bierzo alongside some delicious appetizers, that were perfect for us. Now. To the ceviche. This is quite probably the best ceviche that we've had. Anywhere. In the world! The depth of flavour in it was truly magnificent!

The thing that will surprise you is the way the coffee will be decorated and customized especially for you. Mine said: "Thanks a lot Bella". Spanish romantics with an eye wink. I know the waiter is not in love with me, but it would everybody feel welcomed. After asking for the Wifi password, the owner even gave me a better network just across from his terrace. Spanish kindness won; this will be my favorite bar on this little square. The square itself will stay my favorite in Cambados, because it is so relaxed and cosy. I have not tried the food so will stick with a coffee review and the overall impression: good!

Coffees to go are increasingly easier to get in little towns like Cambados. Whereas taking a coffee…read morewas usually taken standing at the bar before running of to where you need to go, a sign with "para llevar" is found more often on the windows of little coffee places. This place is new on Avenida de Galicia. A Dispensa de Piñeiro seems to be a franchise and looks a bit standard. However, the coffees and breads are of good -bakery- quality and like lots of food in Spain of a good price. Breakfast (coffee, orange juice and croissant) is sold for about €3,50. Besides that lots of other pastries like torta de manga a, empanadas, pan de chorizo or breada to take away (also wholewheat and spelt) are sold. So, a good place to start your day. Or like I did, take a coffee latte para llevar with a croissant and a pain au chocolat for just €3,- and sitting down in the children's playground across the street (next to the bus station). Part of my perfect holiday.
