The owner met us on the beach and walked us up the 124 steps to the top of the hill that opened up to a lovely courtyard, pool, hot tub, and hammocks. Casa Emilie is a very simple open air home with a net covered bed, full bathroom, and basic kitchen amenities. Make sure to bring your own shower products as they are not provided. We opened our wooden windows to the amazing Bahia de Banderas, cool gentle breezes, and sounds of nature all around. The bed itself isn't very comfortable, and sleeping with a big net was definitely trial and error. There are no lights at night and flashlights were provided for us to get around town. At night you can see every star in the sky. A wonderfully romantic getaway!

The workers that couldn't go home were housed. The guests, like me, that were checking out were allowed to book another night, even though they were in a sold out status. The hotel mgmt took care of all of us in such a beautifully kind manner which allowed us to find some safety while the town was burning due to the car fires. The property is right on beach, has a family pool and adult swim area with hot tubs in both areas. We booked a hotel room that had a small pool access from the patio. They have 2 swim up bars, a children's play area, spa and an excellent workout room. I was told they will be renovating the hotel this summer 2026, which is needed in some areas, such as the spa. It was a very enjoyable visit other than the cartel action and I would stay here again if I come back to Puerto Vallarta.

Their hotel and resort were also safe, beautiful, well maintained, and easily accessible by Uber, taxis, and other transport. I was told by a local driver that this location is considered the "Beverly Hills" of Puerto Vallarta, so prices were accordingly higher than in some other areas in town. Despite the price tag, I felt that the service we received was worth every dollar. I loved the all-inclusive dining and bar, and really appreciated the option of add-on services like massages, beauty salon, etc...not to mention the almost-private beach, two pools, and a hot tub! This venue provides entertainment and relaxation, as well as excellent wedding coordination! I hope I get to go back one day!

I was recommended this place instead of a pool party. I was a bit skeptical at first but was blown away by how beautiful and fun the whole experience went. Amazing photo opportunities, so much to explore in such a short time. Service was absolutely amazing they really do their best to make you feel taken care of. They offer an all-inclusive ticket that has all drinks and food included until 5:30pm for $150. this also includes a boat ride to and from the beach. The drinks were really good very good standard margarita and Mojito. Obviously shots as well. Once the all inclusive ends, you were able to purchase drinks by themselves or bottle service. The food was amazing from what I remember. This is amazing experience and I could not recommend it enough.

If you want to experience something different than the all inclusive hotels around, Casa Iguana is the right place. You wake up to the sound of exotic birds and fresh air. The beach is a 10 min walk where you can find a lot of local restaurants and businesses offering entertainment rides to the jungle, waterfalls, snorkeling, beautiful beaches. The Zoo is a must see and it's a 10 min walk away from the hotel. There are few local mini markets that you can find everything that you need from snacks, beverages, suntan lotion, fresh fruits, alcohol etc. The city is small but have few must visit restaurants with breathtaking views and few up the street with very authentic vibe. At night you can find a little taco stand with delicious food. The local children are just playing on the street and greeting all the visitors. If you like tequila Mismaloya has 3 tequila tasting shops that open at 7 am. Hotel Casa Iguana in Mismaloya is definitely a different experience, an old gem hidden in the jungle. Good people, plenty of places to visit and experience the authentic Mexico. The busy night life of Puerto Vallarta is 25 min away with a bus ride for 10 pesos or 200 pesos via taxi. Don't forget your mosquito repellent for at night and early mornings :) We stayed there for 4 nights and will be back soon!

We were handed wrist bands for our stay. We were walked to our room and all of the "to knows" were explained to us. Breakfast Breakfast is free at the hotel. There are several options that are on the buffet to choose from. You can also ask for an omelet that will be made in the back kitchen and brought out to you. I did not see many people ordering omelette so I'm not sure it's expressed too much but it is an option. Bedroom Our bedroom was ocean facing and it was very beautiful. The room itself was very clean, and super spacious! Location This was my only knock on the property. Because the Grand Miramar is located on top of the hill/mountain you will need to take a cab or uber to the romantic zone. Over time the Ubers or taxis add up in price. If you are looking for a beautiful property a few minutes from the main city area than this is the one. If you are looking to be right in the city center then this is not the property! With the property so high up on the hill, you will get amazing views!!!
