Here's a nice cafe to grab a quick lunch when in the area. We were only in Nurnberg for a few hours which was really a shame as the city has such a wonderful mid-evil old town to it. I hope to come back. Within the walls of the mid-evil area is Casa Pane.
Walking by, the display case with all the different breads and pastries looked so wonderful that after walking around a bit, the wife and I decided to go back and eat at this cafe. I ordered what looked like a submarine roll with some sort of swiss or gouda cheese that was nicely melted all over it. The roll was cold which I assumed they would heat up. Price can't be beat. Don't think I even spent 3 Euros on it. The wife got a large slice of bruschetta.
We sit down to eat and my roll is cold. I guess I could have gone and asked them to heat it up, but the line was pretty long at this point. It would have been nice if they would have asked if we wanted it heated. It tasted good regardless, so I ate the whole thing.
You then bring your dishes to the trays for them. So, not a bad option, just remember to ask to have them heat up your food. read more
