We walked in and there was a man sitting at the door behind a desk. He didn't say anything to us so my husband spoke to him. I told him that I was there for a shampoo and combing out. He immediately told me that he doubts that they can get to me before that afternoon because they have two customers already in the back. He went back and spoke with someone and came back and told us they did not have time until the afternoon. I told him that I had left multiple messages that were ignored. He stood there and looked at me. Never said another word. Either you should accept walk-ins or you answer your phone or you return your messages. Change your website to suit how you want to run your business

This week I tried to make an appointment two days in a row. Both days nobody answered the phone so I left my name and number and what I wanted done to my hair. Nobody ever got back to me so I decided to go there and see if I could get in. When I got there there was a very rude blonde that made it seem like I did something wrong by calling them instead of texting them. She told me to text them and make an appointment for next week. I needed my hair done before the weekend so that wasn't going to work for me. I've never had a problem getting in before. They've always been able to get me in on the same day. This made me so mad that I don't know if I will ever go there again.

GSCC offers local high school…read morestudents the opportunity to take technical and vocational courses with the intent of them being certified or licensed in their field (automotive mechanics, computers, culinary, cosmetology, etc) by the time they graduate high school. The cosmetology students offer their services throughout the school year to the public on Thursday and Friday mornings (occasionally Saturdays) for very reasonable prices. These students are supervised by their instructor and although your service may take a little longer than other salons, they need the practice and appreciate the experience of working on a real head versus a mannequin! No appointment necessary but be aware that they are only available for a few hours in the morning, so longer services (coloring or perms) need to be started earlier. I went in for a haircut ($10) which included a shampoo and blowout and took a little over an hour. I first consulted with the instructor who paired me with a student that was super sweet and professional. She asked lots of questions about how I wanted my haircut then took me over to the shampoo sink where nice quality products were used. During the haircut she definitely took her time, but was also very personable and talkative so it all felt very much like a typical salon experience. When the student was done cutting the instructor came over with a comb and scissors to check the length, layers, framing, etc. Although the student did an awesome job, it is nice that they double check their skills both for constructive criticism and customer satisfaction. In addition to cut and color they also offer styling and updo services, waxing and facials. Right across the hall from the hair salon was the nail tech room where they offer manicures and other services for less than $10 which I can't wait to go back and check out! It's conveniently located just off I-385 on Butler Road with plenty of parking. When you walk up to the building you are buzzed into the lobby where the receptionist signs you in and gives you a visitor name tag before escorting you to the classroom/lab. Be sure to stop back by the office to sign out before leaving!

When I decided to make a career move at 38 I knew I wanted a school that I could start within 6…read moremonths and offered some flexibility as a mom of 4 kids. When I came in to meet the owner she explained that while they were new they had already had many esthetician students that had gone through the program and passed their exams. She was sympathetic to my needs and explained that while there are requirements from the licensing board I would still be able to take the vacation we had planned. I'm halfway through the program and couldn't be happier with my experience. My clients have enjoyed the facials I've been able to offer and our instructors give us great guidance on what to expect in the workplace once we graduate. If there is anything we feel we need more hands on experience or help with they don't hesitate to make sure we get that extra instruction. We have had several guest speakers who are talented in the esthetics industry who have added so much value to the course. As a parent with time constraints I really appreciate the opportunity to have started so quickly. If I have to miss a class they offer make up hours on a flexible schedule which I greatly appreciate. The biggest part is that I already feeling prepared to take the state boards as we talk about that thoroughly during instruction. I'm very grateful to have found Dree and TLC and Bella's. Sandra is one of the most amazing teachers I've had and we think of her as a friend not just instructor.

The owner Mrs. Angela Chambers-Lee isn't well versed in the world of cosmetology. Her history is only in servicing hair, not nails, nor skin. However, her school only currently offers esthetics and nail technology courses. The curriculum, though that of the state board, is very loosely covered by her and other "cosmetology" instructors. The instructor claims to know the rules and regulations very well but has no real knowledge of the "do's and don'ts." In persuasion to get me to sign a contract with the nail technology course she informed me that I could obtain some of my hours at a nail salon. After I found out that it was in fact illegal to do so she informed me that since this was no longer an option I would need to pay $20/hr for the hours that I needed to make up. Due to learning early on in her course that she does not keep her word I recorded every private conversation after. A conversation in which she admitted to one of her hired employees forging my signature on a contract, a conversation where she stated she was better than me in life, and a slew of other things. The instructor ended up withdrawing me on the basis that I committed a crime. The crime was that of me recording our conversation. A process that is legal as long as I'm a part of the conversation. They knew who I was walking through the door for our appointment, and Regina remembered on our second visit that my son was not a fan of the cape and we had to work without it. The student cuts the hair and then Regina will jump in while teaching the student.

I've always box died my hair never going to a salon not even so much for a haircut. Always cutting my hair myself. It's safe to say I never trusted a single person with my hair. Until one day I made an appointment at this place and decided to go all out for my birthday! A cut and color. ( balayage) My stylist was Caitlin. She was so helpful and attentive to my concerns and desires for what i truly wanted and needed for my hair. She took her time making sure I got exactly what I wanted and talked me through the process; even educating me on how to style my hair afterward. She showed me how to curl my hair and taught me so many things I didn't know. Trust me I had sooo many questions but she answered every one of them and didn't leave me questioning anything.
