What an experience omg! We have two M3s and this was a surprise I set up for my husband prior to COVID, we rescheduled so many times due to COVID and other circumstances but we finally made it!!! My husband was so happy and had a blast doing the one day M course! Everyone was super friendly and explained what the schedule for the day would like to perfectly! The instructors were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable at their craft! We will definitely come back for me to do the same course my husband did!

My father took the M series training class which was for one day only. It was apart of the dealership packaged when he purchased his M2. He had a awesome time. He was smiling from ear to ear all day. And was like a kid in a candy store before and after the class And said he learned a lot of things he never knew his car could do. His words were "Ive been driving like a old lady and never even knew it" lol. They taught them how to J-turn, drift, & take corners like a pro. Tip: If you have a sensitive stomach when it comes to racing cars at top speed or get car sick. I would strongly suggest getting something to take the night before and day of. If not you will spend most of the day with a very upset stomach and not much time playing. Even if you don't have a BMW but would like to learn more about racing and driving I would highly suggest it. They offer two day classes and single days. You learn to drive the three different courses in each of the new M series models. 2020 M8, M4 & M2 every car lovers dream!

While traveling down from Virginia to Georgia with a group of friends, we saw the Performance Center on the way down. We decided to take a little pit stop and check it out. The driving is by reservation only, but the lady at the front said we were free to walk around. We were able to walk out to where the cars were driving. We met a friendly employee named Paul. He was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and informed us about the cars and even gave us a little "tour". He allowed us to take a look at the cars and see the interior. What a great experience, we will be returning as a group next summer! Paul, I can't thank you enough for the experience you provided our group. Thank you, staff at BMW Performance Center!!

OMG! What a fantastic experience... I'm in my mid 50's as was 75% of my group of 14 riders. We had 3 wonderful instructors all with colorful track and driving history and knowledge. Our one day performance "training" included a classroom setting to pair the drivers, go over safety, and question and answer session. Followed by A TON of driving. We were split in two groups with 3-4 cars each and set out to the multiple tracks. We all learned to weave cones with increasing speed and precision. We took this practiced skill to a track were we learned banking at high speeds while weaving and avoiding any cones. From there we practiced ABS breaking while turning at increased speeds up to 60MPH.. A break for a fantastic healthy lunch and plenty of water breaks. Back to the track for intense hyper planing and recovery.... So exhilarating.. We then practiced quick lane change for safety. Amazing experience for real world driving. We ended the day with a friendly competition between drivers for high value prizes. It's a must do for any car enthusiast!!!

If you are reading this you are considering a class, motorcycle or car. Rest assured that you will enjoy it and you can get a lot from the class if you are attentive and engaged.

I think this was a fantastic experience. It's really neat to drive a sampling of what BMW makes and experience more of their capabilities. The experience was inspiring to me. While I don't aspire to be a race driver, I do like the idea of learning more about how to operate a vehicle in whatever situation might arise. I may look at going back and taking a longer course as a result.

If you are: 1. Buying a new BMW 2. Willing to order and not buy one off the lot (do this anyway!) you really need to do a performance center delivery. My brother and I just did this with my new car and we had a blast. The entire experience was fantastic. They put you up in a great hotel (Greenville Marriott) for a night, feed you dinner, then the fun begins. You and your guest spend about 1/2 of a very packed day driving the model of car you bought on a track and learning what it's really capable of. You also get to do an equally fun off road course. The instructors are great and push you to "drive it like you stole it" - you will realize you have a lot to learn about high speed driving and want to take a separate course. Your guest will do as much driving as you will. You also tour the impressive factory, get fed lunch, then a BMW specialist (in our case Donnie who was also an instructor) explains your car to you in detail for about an hour. In our case, he then sent us off to Asheville with some excellent brewery recommendations. Before leaving we stopped at the Zentrum (museum/cafe/gift shop) and took some pictures. Best of all this experience is mostly included if you've bought a BMW and ordered it from the factory. You pay to fly to Greenville and everything else is paid by BMW. The only other out of pocket cost is shipping the car back to your dealership (~$600 I think) or you can just drive your sweet new car home. I can't wait to bring my wife back someday for an M performance course. Highly recommended!

The cars! I dare you not to have fun.

My wife bought me a day in the M driving school as we had picked up a new M3 this Fall. She figured I should learn how NOT to kill our family - but really she was making sure I had a fun day on the track. I've NEVER driven a car on a track before, especially anything like an M2, M3, or M4. We spent time in all 3 cars, doing hot laps for time, racing each other around a wet track, and also getting time to learn how to power slide and over-steer around an oval. I managed to not embarrass myself, but it would have been cool to have more time on this - which is apparently what everyone says. We ended the day doing laps on the 'full' track. Got up to about 103-105 before having to STAND on the breaks for a 20 mph, 2nd gear hard left turn. Best bonus part of the day - a college kid doing an internship at the manufacturing plant across the street let me use his employee discount at the retail store to buy a shirt and carbon fiber M license plate bracket. They gave us food - and it was GOOD food - but I was too carsick from all the hard turns and acceleration to keep any food down. They also had TONS of bottled water to stay cool as it was probably 105F on the track. The instructors were friggin' amazing. When they had us in the car with them driving, it was very clear we were miles away from putting these cars near their potential when we were behind the wheel. If you have one of these cars, if you don't turn off the traction control, it's almost impossible to do something stupid/crazy. Turn that off, and you're on your own...at 425HP. Have fun! They have a 2 day course, but to be honest, the 1 day at 1500 was more than enough.

I will never take delivery at another BMW dealer again. I highly recommend taking delivery at the Performance Delivery Center. I took my teenage son who is a new driver as my guest and we had an amazing time. They picked us up at 7:45 AM. There was a short safety and admin brief then we hit the track. We were given comparable vehicles to those we were picking up. In our case we drove a M240i. First was a breaking exercise, 3 runs each, 40/50/60 MPH then hard brake. Then a course with twists, turns, and straight ways. Next, a traction control exercise on a wet pad. The DTC was turned off so you spin out, then turned on where you drift. Lastly, riding with a pro where he did all of the tricks on the entire track. Next we jumped in an X5 of our choice and drove to the factory for a tour. They showed us where the museum was located for a self tour after delivery of our car. After the tour we did an off road course in the X5, hills, dips, bridge, water crossing, etc. I also own a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and was surprised by the X5's off road capability. Next we had lunch which was cafeteria style, hot line, short order, and salad bar. After lunch we had 2 1/2 hours with a BMW genius for delivery with a full overview of my car and options. The whole operation is top notch and will give you a new appreciation of BMW's and the professionals that work there!

HO-LY COW This place is really something, a day we will never live down! (SRY IF I TYPE YOUR EARS/EYES OFF) Hubby and I were here on 6/21/19 to pick up our gorgeous 2020 M4. The team at BMW PC was awesome, friendly, outgoing, PATIENT, & professional. (I thought Derek's dad jokes were Hilarious...*air pats him on shoulder*) We were briefly educated, told where to hold the wheel at (not w left hand at 12 like a thug *me) hopped in similar cars to what we purchased; armed w walkie talkies our instructor (Tommy) had us follow him. First we did the panic braking. Next a course with cones where we did a bunch of laps. Me & hubby's fav: wet skid pad, this was so fun, esp in the M4, I did a nice 360 the hubcap got on video. Then we regrouped and each pair was taken by diff drivers for a Hot lap in a M5. We had the pleasure to be driven by Mike Renner, he was so awesome. I can't believe Mike could just nonchalantly chit chat with us while doing this, meanwhile I'm in the front trying to record & not to raise my arms like in a roller coaster & hubs is in the back giggling like a school girl. We switched things up and go into a X5 & were amazed how took us down the steep hill (without any help)and the axel bender was the best I really got close n trip to flip it but it just wouldn't. Right before lunch we did the Factory tour, unfortunately I didn't get to take pics as we weren't allowed to bring in electronics (don't worry my photographic memory has already stolen all your secrets BMW). Then lunch... and it was not school cafeteria food. Derek sat with us and said that he was waiting on a UFC fighter to come by so he can do a hot lap with him, and I think this was the icing for me. Derek came back and got us after he took Bryan Barberena for that hot lap and we got to meet him and take a pic.(He was THE nicest guy ever and he was with his beautiful family)(I'm still geeked out about it) This is our 1st BMW but not our last. I think my husband and this place has converted me, unfortunately I just got a new SUV in April..... so see yall in ~2years when I'm ready to upgrade. Thank you 100xs to the amazing team at BMW.

Okay so here's the deal. This place is heaven on earth for car lovers, especially BMW lovers. For this trip, one of the three times I've come down here we were picking up a new car and got to do the half day on the track, followed by a factory tour, off road course and lunch with finally the delivery of the new car. Words in a yelp review could never describe what it's like to have this experience. It's the most fun you'll ever have in a car and it's not even your car on the track which is the best part. You get to take upwards of a $70k car and beat on it as hard as you can on the track. For the performance car pick ups you'll be taking your exact car out on the course so you absolutely know what it can do when you drive away in your actual car later. The day starts early and you hit the conference room for a few to hear some pointers and then you hit the track. You'll most likely do the ABS breaking exercise, handling course, and the skid pad to demonstrate the traction control the cars have which is incredible. All in all you could never go wrong choosing this option when you pick up a car. We've gone back multiple times for car pick ups and for the schools they offer, which are incredible, and we'll absolutely be coming back in the future.

Let me start with "class Day " Which I wouldn't have mentioned but since this is a negative…read morereview... no heat in Feb.. and the "sign up "( morning of ) was time consuming.. they should get class together say what she said to every individual parent that went in room.. would save lot of time . Second ...they tell you for extra $$ you can get the driving part done in 2 weeks roughly.. DO IT ..because it literally will take two to Three months to get your 6 hours in , that's only if you pester the driver. We have had two separate incidents where we were scheduled and had to be rescheduled., I must add that I had three older children that went through a driving school and we had no issues ..we had gotten their six hours within a week maybe two tops of taking the class. if I could do it over ...seeing a review like this I would have definitely picked a different school..

DO NOT TAKE YOUR TEST HERE. This driving service is unprofessional, their website is lacking in…read moreinformation and often times it's completely wrong, and then they have the audacity to say you're wrong. I waited at the Simpsonville location behind the hotel for an hour passed their posted starting time with no instructor even showing up. I went inside the hotel to see if they knew and they hadn't seen the car at all. I then drove to the Lyman office to see if I could test there, but then it was revealed it wasn't walk up like posted on their website but instead a sign up sheet that you had to sign hours before they will even test you. Unless you call them at a very specific time they will not pick up, and when they do they offer no help and blame you for being ignorant or not doing the research.
