Mara isn't just a hairdresser--she's a hair whisperer, time-bender, and low-key lifesaver. I came to her on the brink of a mental breakdown with 3 inches of root betrayal, split ends threatening secession, and a calendar that was less than cooperative. Most stylists would've looked at my panicked last-minute text and left me on read--but not Mara. She found a way. She always finds a way. It's her superpower. But let's talk skills. This woman is a second-generation stylist with the kind of instincts that only come from growing up with scissors in her hands and color theory in her DNA. Her background as a Matrix educator means she's not just up on trends--she teaches them. My hair has never looked or felt better. She's equal parts artist, therapist, magician, and miracle worker--and if you're lucky enough to get a spot in her chair, don't let go. Mara is the best kind of rare. read more

I have been here three or four times since moving to the area They are very accommodating with times. I have been able to obtain an appointment very quickly within days. We all know how that is. Your hair is looking good - then- like overnight, you're in need of a stylist. Women here are super nice, always pleasant, and certainly very skilled. Ramune loves cutting my short hair, and she does a fabulous job. I have short hair. I have straight hair. I like it in an asymmetrical style. Tight around my ears and back. It needs to be cut with many layers so it's sits just perfectly. Ramune is very skillful and definitely listens to me describe what I'm interested in. I also have a few pictures, front, sides, and back - top, too...so there's really no room for misunderstandings. I enjoy the personal one on one experience, instead of being passed on to colorist, a shampooer, and such. They are focused on YOU. They value your appointment time. Will send reminders There is plenty of free parking, too! read more

Brought my own color swatch from my own hair and they still couldn't match it. Light/medium brown with copper glints came out as solid chocolate brown that didn't lighten up for weeks (which might've been good if that color was the goal). Also need better instructions on how find them in the mall. They are one of several salons in a suite with an overall name. read more

I had an amazing experienc! My hair looks fantastic. As a blonde it's always hard to find a great stylist and they were so responsive and did such a wonderful job. I will definitely be coming back for sure read more

I tried Casa Mara Salon based on reviews I found, and I'm so glad I did. I had color, highlights, a haircut, and a blowout, and everything was great. Ramune is very experienced and listens closely to what you have to say. She transformed my drab hair color and my hairstyle, and I'm very happy with the results. You won't regret it. read more

First time experience at Casa Mara was excellent! Got an appointment right away the same week I called which was great. Salon is clean, comfortable with an intimate friendly atmosphere. Luz Maria was my hairstylist. She is wonderful, listens to what you want and offered important suggestions for what I wanted to achieve. She color corrected, cut and gave me a blowout. I absolutely loved the outcome of my hair. My color now is consistent throughout and the products used gave my hair a beautiful shine. I am pre menopausal and my hair has gone through some issues but you would not know that after Luz created her magic. I'm so happy!! I will be going back. Call and make an appointment you'll thank yourself later!! :)) read more

I walked in based off reviews and really wasn't disappointed. I am so happy with how Luz delivered my specific haircut style I wanted. She took her time blow drying after but she was so sweet and made me feel at ease. She has a wonderful personality and I'm looking forward to returning for a color treatment next! You won't be disappointed read more

A Big Big thank you to Luz & Casa Mara Studio Salon in Pompano Beach (Pompano Citi Center). I have been doing my own hair FOREVER and thanks to a great friend who forced me "out of my box", I came here for a cut & color but walked with a new look on life and feeling better about myself than I have in a long time. Luz chose the perfect color & cut for my face and skin tone (some colorists/stylists don't realize how import those things are. Casa Mara is reasonably priced, friendly easy to get to (SW corner of Copans & Federal.) I am here right now for my second time and look forward to walking out feeling amazing again. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Luz & Casa Mara Studio Salon! read more

I will he in town for a few more weeks and will definitely check back in with Katie before I leave. All the ladies there seemed absolutely wonderful that I spoke with. I am so incredibly thankful to have stumbled upon this salon thanks to Yelp reviews. I had had an utterly traumatizing experience at a salon on Las Olas and searched for "balayage color correction." Luckily, my search engine pulled up a review of Casa Mara. Just minutes after walking out of the salon on Las Olas, I called Casa Mara in tears of anger. I was greeted by Mara who promptly requested I send her pictures of the botch job. She even offered to stay late at her salon that day to help begin the color correction process of my hair. I was then scheduled with Ramune for my first color correction appointment. Upon my arrival, I was frankly embarrassed to be seen in public. I wore my hair in a top knot at work all day long and attempted disguising the orange color of my hair with dry shampoo throughout the day. Ramune asked if it was okay if we started a little later than scheduled with which I had no problem since I was the one in need of her help. Later, I learned that the reason she asked if this was okay was due to her seeing a few minor flaws in a lady's color before me and didn't want her to leave the salon until her hair was perfect and up to Ramune's very high standards. Ramune was an utmost professional and absolutely lovely. She listened to my horrifying experience with empathy and gave me advice on how to proceed. She was even kind enough to stay late on a Monday to finish this first step. Along with beginning the color correction process, she also fixed the uneven hair cut I had received. Ramune then scheduled my second color correction appointment for the end of the week. At this appointment, I met Mara and was blown away by her kindness and compassion. She was just as angry and upset with what had happened to me as I was. Thankfully I left Casa Mara with a smile on my face. Ramune worked some incredible magic to rectify what had been done to my hair. Before my "Las Olas Nightmare," I had gone to the same colorist for 12 years in my home state of Illinois. After relocating to south Florida, and having my hair color completely ruined, I am relieved to say that Casa Mara has a new forever client. read more

Helped my girlfriend with her wash and blow dry. The salon was crowded with customers with beautiful hair.

My daughter and I had been going to the same hairstylist forever until she recently moved out of state. It can be a bit scary looking for someone new but we came across Casa Mara on yelp during a recent search. Based on the reviews we gave it a try and Christiane did not disappoint. She really educated us on what kind of cuts our individual hair texture could get away with and what we should avoid. I love that. She did a GREAT job with our cuts, very personable (without talking toooooo much) very professional. We will definitely be back read more

First time at the salon today & it was great! I went in originally wanting an ombré and Ramune quickly understood what I wanted after seeing a few pictures, a balayage. I was there from 12-2 for the color (like a painting technique), cut and blow-dry. It was very pleasant, sipped on some white wine and chatted about old pompano. Ramune did a fabulous job with everything! I love the sun kissed color and the fact that it looks natural. And I was able to use a $20 discount from yelp for the color. All in all I would definitely return! read more

I went in to have my hair done I wanted it to look similar to the first picture which as you can see in the third picture nothing like it I spoke with Mara she told me that the second picture is highlight grown out Fortunately I went in there on March 19 and the picture was taken on March 23 and I said let's bypass the color let's talk about the haircut Looks nothing like the picture my hairs cut straight across I'm in my very late 40s I've never hated my hair so much Its damaged and I paid $425 we're not in Manhattan never even offered to fix it to look at it nothing so I wouldn't go there for highlights I wouldn't recommend the salon read more

I had not had a hair cut in 14 months. First because of covid, then worrying about finding a really good stylist. I looked at salon websites and yelp reviews and finally made an appointment at Casa Mara. I AM SO HAPPY! Luz gave me the best haircut I have ever had! Seriously. I showed her a photo of the way I had had it cut pre-pandemic, which I liked, and she did it in a style that was similar but BETTER! Luz will be my stylist forever! read more

As an older gentleman, I believe that a well-executed haircut is an important component of one's appearance and adds to one's self-confidence. I had been a client of Red Market Salon in Bal Harbour for years; recently moved to Pompano Beach and tried two other salons. Then, fortunately, I found Mara at Casa Mara. My search is ended. I had been a partner in a salon many years ago; therefore, I feel somewhat qualified to evaluate a stylist's performance. Mara is not only technically proficient, in a moment, she was able to understand that I wished to transition from a trendy "fade" to a more traditional style and she made the most of this transitional haircut. She was professional, accommodating, inspired confidence in the salon; and, as the salon owner, she was able to interact cordially with other clients and with staff. Highly recommended!!!!! read more

Came in from a very expensive salon in Mizner Park with a botched horrible balayage. Ramona did a color correction and it was nothing short of a miracle. Would recommend 10/10 for color. Ramona does a great balayage and the rest of the girls are great as well! read more

Went there and the lady had no idea what she was doing. She spent a good 30 min asking another lady what she should do... Ummm no thanks! Super happy with this cute beauty salon. Everyone knows everyone. And fun time getting a nice cut!

I had dyed my hair a permanent pink 3 months ago and I wanted it gone. I'm a college student visiting family in Pompano Beach for spring break. Ramune and Luz tried color erasers and toning it out, but in the end only had success with a hair color extractor. The redness is still a bit visible, but they did the best they could do when I refused to bleach my natural curls. The chemicals did damage my curls a bit, but nothing dramatic. I spent 8 hours in the salon over 2 days (a lot of the time was spent doing strand tests) and I ended up paying $460 before tips, because they charge by the hour. They did give me a small discount but it's still a lot for a college student. read more
