Our family decided to try out this place for menudo by the pot since our local spot closed down. Very disappointed!! No flavor at all and it was very discolored (meaning it was missing Chile). Luckily I was able to save it had to build some chiles California ,tomatillo,garlic etc. read more

I hope this place gets better, I really do. My husbad and I started coming here because he grew up in Ontario area and would always go to the one there. (That place, btw is still and I guess has always been great.) However, this little one, well, I think its seen better days. 1st off, it's got the potential to be great. It does. But trying to keep a restaurant alive with only the help of family including teenage kids has gotta be tough. The wait times are super long and trying to get someone's attention is the hardest thing ever. 2nd, They offer the all you can eat option which is what keeps us coming back and the food, well it's not all that great but there are certain items on the menu that have managed to stay good and true. The chicken taquitos for instance... Always a crowd pleaser. Maybe if they hired some actual staff and literally cleaned up the place they can keep it going. Either way, we will try to have hope and come back since Ontario is just too far of a drive. read more

Driven past this place all my life but never stopped. I'm here because it's new Years, they're open and they offer menudo 7 days a week! I think a sign of a good menudo is when your lips get sticky from the collagen. This soup is missing that. FYI tortillas are not "echas a mano". **Im writing this review for my mother** This restaurant needs to clean house ASAP. Listen to your yelp reviewers. Your service needs to change or you will keep getting complaints. I stepped in with my mother on a slow Sunday and got ignored for roughly 5 minutes before finally being asked in a rude manner what it is we wanted. My mom wanted a small red menudo (I'm not a fan so I wasn't getting anything) since there was a special on the board stating $6.99 for a small menudo. He very rudely proceeds to tell us we have to wait and to sit down. Dude, all you gotta do is use a ladle and pour us a damn serving, I don't even understood why we had to wait, the menudo was already done. After 10 minutes of this guy talking and laughing with what seemed like his usual customers he finally brings out my moms menudo - a large one. $10 he says. We ordered a small we tell him and he then looks at us like we're stupid. We don't have any other sizes available. EXCUSE ME? So after waiting 17 minutes for a f'n small plate of menudo you have the nerve and audacity to tell us that there in no small even though we CLEARLY stated we wanted the small menudo special?! I had half a mind to take that menudo and toss it on this guy and believe me I would have if I hadn't just stepped out of church. Believe me I don't usually write bad reviews this negatively but I'm not gonna lie, I feel like he was disrespecting my mother and I will NOT stand for that. read more

I've been coming to Casa Jimenez since I was a little kid (I'm in my 40's now) and from the menudo, to the chilaquiles, to the chile rellenos, the food is always so good! Their salsa roja is delicious as well. Plus, you can't beat their reasonable prices either! It's always a pleasure chatting with the owner and his son (the cook). I love this family owned and operated small business and am glad that Covid hasn't shut them down. read more

Love this place, been coming to here for years. Everything on the menu is delicious and so affordable (3 meals under $20 bucks, you can't beat that.) Chilaqules and frijoles de la olla are my go to meals. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Weekends do get busy, expect to wait. read more

Came to try this place out and we regret our decision. Place has very limited seating. We had to clear out our own table due to staff being preoccupied behind the counter. When we finally got our order in it took 20 minutes for the first plate another 10 for the other two plates. An order of albóndiga soup which is served with previously frozen meatballs, a plate of menudo "rojo", looked a bit pale to me close to menudo blanco which I'm not a fan of, and an order of shrimp cocktail..."hold the shrimp" the order only came with 5 shrimp. After getting our food the waitress forgot about us and never check to see if there was anything else we needed. Needless to say we will not be coming back. read more

worst service ever!!! the waitress looked like she was having the worse day of her life she was rude and had a mad face, never once did she smile or ask about our food or offered any other assistance. I ordered a side of rice for my toddler and it was old and it had bits and pieces of hard dry rice. I also had chicken flautas and they tasted like old frying oil.
