Long story short: the food is good, but certainly not for the price, even in Zurich.
Zurich is an expensive place, so it's not all that unusual that the price range is in the 30s for entrees. However, I expected the quality to be much better - I've certainly had better food for about half the price.
The first problem was that on top of the cost of the food, they charged for tap water. While this isn't all that unusual, 3 Fr. for a pitcher of water that costs them nothing is not something I enjoy.
However, even worse was that they charged cover, for a restaurant. When we got the bill at the end, they had tacked on a 1.50 Fr. cover charge for each person. Frankly, this is outrageous - it even said on the menu (as it does in pretty much all Swiss restaurants) that tax and service are included in the price.
We all ended up getting the special house ravioli, something we'd heard is quite special here. It was good, but definitely not worth the 32 Fr. (or something close to that) it cost - it was literally just sliced roast beef wrapped in the pasta covering. The amount of sauce they put on them was almost nothing, and as a result they ended up tasting rather bland. In addition, there weren't too many of them - I think we calculated and found that each individual piece of ravioli was 2 Fr. or something. However, it was certainly filling enough for a meal, but when you consider the price of each, it does seem quite expensive.
In any case, they may have other good food, but the extra charges and the quality of the ravioli (which they proudly advertise as their specialty) has made me decide that I won't be coming back here. There are much better places in Zurich for much cheaper. read more
