I have…read morevisited the \Winter Haven and Winter Park locations but this is my first time experiencing their first location which opened in 2012 in Altamonte Springs. Adjectives Market was founded by former attorney Jeremy Thompson and they have now grown to five locations. Adjectives Market sells new, antique, and vintage items. They focus on unique but affordable items. The idea for adjectives came to Jeremy from his love of the kind of vintage markets you find in New York, Atlanta, and Miami. He wanted the store to show how vintage items could be incorporated into modern design. Adjectives was chosen for the name of the store because it represents the large vocabulary one would need to describe it. Each store curates new and vintage inspired home decor. I was blown away but how large this store is. There are multiple rooms filled with furniture and home decor. Everything was so beautifully displayed. They also sell holiday decorations, clothes, accessories, and jewelry from a mixture of artists, home decor experts, and craftsmen. You are sure to find things you have never seen before. This store answers the problem I have when I go to antique malls or stores. You can see an item you love on a dusty shelf but you can't work out in your mind how it will fit into your space. Everything here is displayed in such a thoughtful way that you can easily imagine it in your own home. I especially love to visit when they have all of their holiday decor out. If you are looking for a one of a kind gift, this is the perfect place to shop. I could spend hours exploring this store and I literally want everything. I just wish they would open in South Florida. For now I have to be content with visiting them in Central Florida.

We were greeted upon arrival and checked on while perusing the isles. At first glance, the store seemed a bit small, which turned out to be incorrect; however, even though they had a good many things, including a very pretty wash basin and vanity desk, the place also served as a sort of boutique with lotions, soaps and other items to delight their older customers. As serious antique customers, we prefer real antique stores and unfortunately did not find that had to have item. I think it says something when the customer, after walking a third of the store, starts looking up other antique stores to visit next. It was worth stopping by; however, we will not be adding Wirewood Market to our favorites list for yearly trips.

Endless knick-knacks and collectables, home-made soaps, oils, and such. Lots of Holiday inspired decorations, ceramic trees, Santa's, Elves and more. There is a decent selection of unique and beautiful hand-made jewelry, vintage tools, gauges, and workshop style equipment available as well. The staff here are welcoming and friendly. Pricing is fair, although some items such as vintage Santa and Elf figurines were priced higher here than other local thrift shops in the area. There is a restroom available to customers who shop here. I didn't purchase anything today, but my mom found a bunch of stuff. She was ecstatic to find three Putz Houses (Paper Houses) that she had to buy. Two were selling for $12.95 each and the other for $4.95. The staff were great and gently wrapped all of my mom's items to protect them for the trip back to NY. The store is immaculate and decorated beautifully, we easily spent 45-mn to an hour here. They also have a little coffee station available for customers shopping here and the coffee is very good. There is a lot to see here and if you know anyone who owns a log cabin or cottage, bring them with you because they will be in heaven! I highly recommend stopping here if you happen to be shopping in the area. I know it won't be our last time shopping here.

We just moved in together to a new place, so we wanted to spice things up. I also am really into supporting local businesses these days so we kicked off the holiday weekend with a bang at The Mercantile and specifically their Thursday night party. It was a really fun vibe! Like surprisingly fun!!! I thought it might be like the places my grandma dragged me too when I was young. NO! It smelled fresh and clean, not like mothballs and old clothes (great placement of the soaps and toiletries in the front). They were playing disco music and people were really excited to be there. This super friendly couple that were dressed in crazy 50's shirts (owners maybe?) were really helpful explaining the number & letter system on the floor for navigation and how to use our beer and wine tickets. I'm not an antique person but I also don't want things for the house that everyone has so this place hit the mark. The shop had so much to choose from! I ended up with some wall art, handmade soaps, a serving platter for our 1st party, an old vinyl record and a cat themed gift for my mom's bday. CRAZY selections from front to back. The drawbacks for this place were already mentioned in some reviews I read before going - parking is hard, but they do allow drive up delivery to car for heavy items (we took advantage for a chair my roommate bought), the line for the drinks, and the line to check out (my roommate confirmed they had no line when she 1st went so I assume it was the event causing some backups). *** The GOOD far outweighs the lines in our experience!! Plus, it was a party!!! The fun couple said it was a "fun and cheap" date night and suggested a local restaurant to make it a full evening which I might do next time. I was overwhelmed in such a positive way from the 2 + hours we spent walking the store. I am pretty sure I missed a lot of booths so I will plan ahead for next time. The couple next to us in check out said they try to visit early Sundays to miss all the people and to park easily which sounds like a really good plan for my next visit.

Parking can be hard, and be prepared to spend hours because there is just so much to look at. I…read morereally like that so many vendors have little boutiques in one spot. I went home with patches, prints, some gifts, and some home decor. I'm sure because of the consignment style things rotate a lot so I'll be going back again!

It's fa la la fabulous. Expensive... extensive... and fabulous. I went to their Christmas in July event, on the last weekend of July 2025. They open at 8:30am and I was there early ( excited!) . They had super friendly parking attendants in Santa hats directing other eager elves to prime parking spots. I was jingling and tingling-so ready to go inside. And I was definitely delighted once I got there... room after room, building after building... full of every Christmas item you could think of, from sacred and soulful to sparkly and shimmery... and everything in between. There were so many trees, decorated in so many themes, with so many accessories, for the rest of the room. I've never seen anything so holly and jolly in the retail world. It really was a feast for the senses (cue the Who's to start singing). There were some really beautiful things-and some prices were high... or at least higher than you'd expect. There were some blue and white cone trees that took my breath away. I'd almost sell my car for those. They were breathtaking-as is so much of this store. And it's not just the merchandise, but the way they've displayed it, as well. It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit... without drinking any holiday spirits. And if the merch doesn't do that, the sweet staff will. They are dedicated and invested in this business... and seem to take great joy in helping customers. No wonder it's survived 50+ years. Santa's smiling at them. It's an easy drive from Tampa... about 90 minutes, give or take. It might be even shorter/easier from the east coast. There's ample parking and truly, something for everyone. I'll look for you! (I'll be the one covered in glitter from hugging trees!)

And if you're tired of the same styles at CF, AHF, or RTG, then stop into this shop in Altamonte Springs. It sits between Dan's Fan City (how cool) and a Piano Store in a shopping plaza (surprise) Over the years, we've purchased some interesting pieces like a one of a kind square dining room table for our square dining room, a centerpiece coffee table, and a huge book cabinet. There's always something that catches our eyes when we are there and we have to think about quickly. They sell right off the floor so there's usually something different each time we visit. The staff is always helpful and in the past has shown us things we might like based on past purchases. There may have been a recent staff change as we didn't recognize the sales personnel that was there on the most recent visit. I wish we had a bigger house with more rooms so we can load it up with some more stuff from here. It's good quality stuff which comes with a higher price tag, but will most likely last for years beyond some of the particle board crap at the other stores (we own that too and is already falling apart).

(fact) We placed and paid in full a substantial sum for furniture and accessories in October of 2023 and were promised delivery of all in December, 6-8 weeks later. As of this writing (September 2024) we have only received a small portion of the order and have for months been given every imaginable excuse one could conjure up, flat out lied too as to the status and whereabouts of our order. Right at Home is now refusing to refund the balance of our payment for items not delivered, forcing us to go to Seminole County Court to seek collection in Civil Court. Our suggestion to all customers considering doing business with this company, think twice and research similar complaints. IMO, once a liar/cheater always a liar/cheat with no regard for others.
