Here's where I become a little less charitable. Or maybe I'm just spoiled?
After the rich pickings in charity shops like Barnardos and Enable Ireland, the slim selection in CASA's rattling Capel St shop seemed almost... unfair.
Am I allowed to say that?
While I concede that charity shopping is a sport and no stock is the same, I was still quite disappointed with the sparsely stocked shelves. What was available looked, mmm, used. And of course all the really good stuff is in the window, and if you want a crack at it be sure to show up first thing on the Friday it's put into rotation...
Ah, can't win 'em all. I'll still pick up a book or two for a later swap. Heck, it's charity after all. read more
