Went here last night when my wife was too tired to get something to eat. This is a little corner bar/restaurant with locals and a few tourists. My linguica sandwich was simple but delicious. Even though I was too tired to make much of an effort at Portuguese, the waiter was pleasant and never made me feel stupid or awkward. I didn't understand the beer options but ended up nodding and he brought me exactly what I wanted (so he was either psychic or just good at interpreting my jumbled Portuguese/Spanish/English words and gestures). I am giving it a "3" because some folks may not like the simplicity, but I am definitely going back when I want a simple meal and easy service.
I saw some Japanese or Chinese tourists come and they had even less Portuguese than I did. The waiter set up 3 tables for them on the sidewalk and got them the sturdy chairs they wanted. Very respectful, made me like the place even more. read more
