I was on the hunt for a quick lunch between meetings and popped into this neighborhood gastropub hoping for a decent experience. It wasn't packed like the rest of the lunch hotspots in the hood, so I was fully expecting something basic and nothing that would impress.
The grilled chicken breast was a total surprise. While other popular botecos offer up a relatively dried, unflavorsome version, the platter here came with rice and freshly stewed beans, a tasty salad and the chicken itself was moist and artfully topped with a sweet and herbacious pesto glaze. Certainly nothing like the common chicken platter at nearly every other casual spot.
The price was well within reason (something under R$30 for everything) and the chopps were perfectly crisp and cold for the hot afternoon. I'd come here again for sure. read more
