The apartments themselves are brilliant, very modern and extremely clean and well kept. It was like walking into a show-home! Our apartment was huge and had a separate bedroom and bathroom and a large living area with kitchen. There was a big balcony overlooking the pool and sea. There was a TV in the living area with satellite channels and internet access via a modem (extra charge). The hotel itself had plenty of facilities including a games room, massage centre, gym, indoor pool and small library. Lovely place to stay and there seemed to be plenty to do in the area

There are a few supermarkets in the area, although they are a little bit more pricey compared to the bigger superstores. There are a few restuarants dotted about and also some bars and pubs. Sao Raphael has 2 beaches which can be easily accessed by foot or car. The beaches are quite small but the views are breathtaking with cliffs surrounding the beaches. They can get quite busy at weekends as locals chill out here too. It is a good location to spend a holiday in the algarve as you are away from the hustle and bustle of the main town Albufeira but it is close enough to visit if you want nights out and more variety for restaurants.

When you check in, you'll find oranges and honey waiting for you in your room, which can be used with the electric juicer in the kitchenette for fresh OJ in the mornings. They have a rooftop indoor/outdoor patio with a spectacular ocean view. There isn't any food or drink service up there, but you can bring your own snacks and use the coffee maker. The location is fabulous too, as you're central to loads of great places to eat and drink. We decided to extend our stay there because we loved the area and the hotel so much. It is more B&B style, so you need to schedule your checkin/checkout, but they're super responsive, very friendly, and their English is excellent. I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough.

The staff fixed anything very well and quickly . All people are helpful, smiling. 1/ we were a little bit worrying to put a deposit before our arrival ... BUT ALL WAS PERFECT 2/ We get a rental contract 2/ The house was clean and ready for us , we get the instructions to get the keys and Marco drive us to the house 3/ every little things that can be wrong was IMMEDIATELY FIXED and repaired 4/ the staff was wonderful BRUNO- MARCO -- ANTONIO - LUIS - the gardener staff ..... Customer service wasn't very helpful when we needed to print things. Not super far from the beach or downtown but a decent walk. Overall good hotel for the price.

A bit of home-funny enough…read more Thanks to Sherry's bar, I have been served a good quality pint of Guiness as if I have not left home. The bar staff is welcoming and friendly. It's a pretty chilled place! I am sat outside at the moment, done some coursework and has been checked and topped up on the spot. Loving the music- me love a bit of cheese which reminds me of home LOL If you are around and you're English, after a bit of nostalgia- this is the place to go.
