Service is ok considering the servers have to squeeze through the crowds. Cocktails are typical well/call drinks and big fruity tourist concoctions. Don't pass up their Piña Colada! Outside, the aptly named Runway Terrace has several rows of cocktail tables and seats facing the "runway" which is Carrer de Joan Tarrida, the infamously narrow alley with at least 6 gay bars. At night, men packed to overflowing in front of the bars. You are basically walking the catwalk or runway to get there. It's fun to wade through but watch for pickpockets. This became our favorite bar each night where we could observe the passing parade, plus watch which guys are contemplating and then entering Bukkake "Bar" across the way (IYKYK). The servers and bartenders are super friendly. One waiter remembers and treats us as old regulars, and our bar tab was paid up nightly when leaving. Sangrias are good. G&T are popular and gin comes in a huge goblet with separate cans of tonic water. Runway Terrace had an unexpectedly fun and relaxing vibe, but steps away from the action!

After no resistance whatsoever, we walked towards it and realised it was the sky bar above our favourite Beach House (see previous reviews). The brunch menu is great (and offers mimosa lovers a great deal of unlimited mimosas for €20!!!) After waiting over 15 mins for drink orders to be taken (poor given only one other table taken in the place) and then a further 30 mins for our bacon and egg with avocado sandwiches to arrive, it's a good job they were enjoyable. We ordered some sticky wings too (did I tell you we were hungover and hungry) that didn't arrive for a further 10 mins, we were far from impressed. The food was very good but, with very small slate plates to host the food, it feels a bit awkward to eat it (cool and trendy) but brunch people wanting food and HOTD drinks don't need fuss. More importantly however, people don't want to pay premium rates for venue and food and have to wait an hour for food. The staff were apologetic and comped a round of soft drinks, but nonetheless, it needs to go a long way to beat it's downstairs neighbours. Very disappointed but an experience!

They do have a happy hour, basically you one drink at regular price, show your receipt before midnight and get the 2nd drink for 1€, making 2 beers around 5€. In the back you'll find a trough, a tv showing a selection of bear films as well as some darker spaces to mingle with other guests. Also, BB plays the best music from 80s to indie. On a few rainy nights we spent the evening slurping beers and listening to cool music. The bar is located upstairs above Queenz and has a small patio which gives you a great view of the action at "Bear Alley". With so many bars to choose from, Bear Bar is a standout.
