So we went there and had tapas and sangrias. The fresh tapas come out like every 5-6 minutes the servers will walk the fresh plate to every table and put what ever was left on the bar counter where the other tapas are. So pretty much you sit where you want or ask a server to be polite, then you sit order drinks and if you want the tapas from the bar - they are self serve or as I mentioned the fresh from the kitchen warm tapas will come from the kitchen and a server will come to your table and offer them. You will be charged by how many food picks or spoons are on your table and that's it. It's super easy and quick. Our parties favorites were the burger tapa, the croquetas, and the chorizo tapa. Personally I also really enjoyed the sausage tapa, pizza tapa and the anchovies tapa. Ask the waiter behind the counter for any recommendations. The bacon wrapped croqueta tapa was delicious too I didn't take a photo because I immediately ate it!! They have clean rest rooms. The only thing is the door to get to the restrooms is a little heavy so if you are with elderly or have a disability ask a server to help you. Other than that good music played, and it was a cool environment. Enjoy!

We have lived in Valencia for 10 years and this was the worst pour we have ever gotten. It was a like a half of a glass of wine. Then, when we got the bill, we discovered that we had been given the most expensive red wine by the glass on the menu. So basically we paid 7,50€ a glass for 2 half glasses of wine. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. It is totally touristy these days and the wine is a rip off. The pinchos were okay though. There are many other great choices for tapas in Valencia. We will not be back.

Definitely worth a quick stop for visitors to the city. Quality: We went with house special a Fried Cuttlefish Sandwich, and it was incredible. The texture was great, browned to perfection and just a little bit of spring to the fish. Pair it with a couple cold beers and you would struggle to find a better lunch. Quantity: Massive portions. Value: Very cheap. Ambiance: El Tostadero is a locals spot in Valencia. The casual shop has a wrap around bar for seating, with food options on display in front of you. They also have a few tables outside. Inside prepare to watch yourself eat and drink in a mirror with music blasting as the workers constantly push out more sandwiches. I went back to find it later and tried it out, 5 assorted meat/cheese/vegetable combination tapas. Awkward to eat due to the stick needing to hold together the tapa while you try to navigate each bite, they all tasted nice, but slightly bland. Vino tinto (red wine) was very acidic. Should have chose another "vintage". Nice location, lots of people watching. Glad to have the 3€ discount, so came to under €12. I was recommended the sardines to start -- lightly fried fillets served over a bed of crunchy patatas, peppers, and delicate petals. Beautifully plated and absolutely delicious, it was the perfect portion since I was also planning to order paella. Masusa offers both personal-sized and larger paellas, which was ideal as a solo traveler. Co-owner Ana recommended the black rice paella with fish, calamari, and monkfish cooked in squid ink. It was flavorful and even better with their special garlic sauce. The couple seated next to me ordered the Paella Russafa -- a spicy red seafood paella -- and kindly shared a taste. Delicioso! I'm so happy I had the opportunity to dine at Masusa. Many thanks to the owners, Ana y su hermana, for creating such a warm and homey restaurant experience.

Luckily our hotel was close to some…read morerestaurants and we came across this paella restaurant that our tour guide suggested as previous guests enjoyed the food. The paella is served in 2 person portions since we were 3 we had to order either 1 pan or 2 pans. We ended up getting 2 pans. The food did take alot of time to prepare as they are made fresh to order. We order black squid ink paella and the seafood paella. The black paella was really good and taste was on point. The seafood paella was too salty and we had to drink alot of water after our meal. We did encounter an issue with our order they brought some croquettes and hot peppers to our table. We did not order them and asked them to take it away. Overall the meal was good but if I had a chance to redo it I should have tried the duck paella or the Valencia paella (rabbit and chicken). Thank you for the memorable meal and we were able to dine on the heated patio with some fellow guests on our tour.

On the menu it was listed for 7.50 euros for an order. The manager explained that since they were making a new paella for us, we would have to pay for the large pan, which is designed for 4. We agreed to pay the price for 4 paellas instead of 3, or 30 euros. When the bill arrived, the paella was listed at 50 euros. I noticed that right away and questioned the manager. She argued that she had told us our paella would cost more. We reminded her of what she'd told us, turned the bill over and showed her the math as I wrote it out. She disagreed with math. 7.5 x 4 = 30 according to us. She again replied that it amounted to 50. I asked for the formerly friendly owner to resolve our dispute. He refused to come speak to us. He just sat there with his fat self and pathetic attempt at a pony-tail devouring a cheeseburger from some other establishment and managed to intone, "Talk to her, she's the manager". We refused to pay the jacked up charge. She argued. We showed her the math, over and over. Finally she relented and told us to pay what we thought it was worth. We paid exactly what the menu said our costs would be. We tipped some very small change just to get it out of our pockets and because the beer was as cold as the experience. Interestingly, The Lounge has a menu, but not a kitchen. When we ordered our paella, they called down the street to a restaurant and placed the order. We watched the sad pony-tailed, fat owner waddle down the street, get the paella, bring it back into The Lounge, and present it like it was his own creation. Seems his menu is just a big fat lie. They cook nothing and try to charge almost twice as much as the place that actually cooked the paella. They are liars who try to prey on tourists. Avoid at all costs.
