During…read morethis transition with my father, I spoke to several people, and it has been an incredibly overwhelming situation. It's not something I take lightly, and there are a lot of emotions and decisions involved. From the very first phone call, Gabriel showed a level of care and patience that I honestly had never experienced over the phone before especially before even visiting the facility. He answered all of my questions, and what really stood out was that he also asked thoughtful questions to better understand our situation. He helped turn what was a very stressful moment into something that felt calm, manageable, and reassuring. Because of that conversation, I already felt confident that my father would be in the right place. When I actually toured the facility, I was pleasantly surprised. It is very clean, very well kept, and you can tell there is real attention to detail. Most importantly, I truly appreciated how much care and compassion the nurses showed toward my father. That meant a lot to me and my family during such a difficult time. Gabriel, truly thank you. I couldn't have navigated this without your guidance and care. I can confidently say that if I or anyone in my family ever needs help with something like this again, you will absolutely be the person we call.

This place is a horrific it might as well be something out of a nightmare, especially if you have…read moremobility issues. They are completely able list the cleaning woman who was to clean my mom or any patient that needed cleaning of their body or problems asked for money on the side and left my mom soiled for hours. The doctor from the facility did not show up for 12 days and did not even do an intake on my mom nor evaluate any medicine she was on. When my mom asked for someone to lift her up, a woman rudely told her no and through the remote that controls the height of the bed at her. Except for a few guardian angels that work at this place this is a bad institution that should immediately be shut down and investigated. I have zero faith in this institution in one day of my mom being released to the ICU hospital. She has a Will to live. She can talk normally she's not as sick and she feels better. Simply put an avoid this place by any means, and I would consider shutting the whole thing down. another issue was when attempting to get discharged from the facility due to the inhumane conditions and inhabitable conditions they would fight against me trying to keep my mom for extra days. The woman from social services on the phone told me that my mother did not want to go to the hospital, which was a lie. They refused to call 911 when my mom needed it and upon my arrival and calling 911 the paramedics immediately valued her evaluated her and said she needed to be in a hospital setting immediately and that I should report this place. They'll put you on the phone with Gabriel, they're fancy Schmanski business developer. I don't care about a business developer. How about a quality of life. Big ups go to the nurse that helped my mom escape this place and helped me because otherwise I would not know how we could've gotten her out of here short of escaping. They don't brush the patients who cannot brush their hair. Your loved one will have dreadlocks potentially and you better. Hope that you get a good nurse because if you don't, this might be your last place of life. Do not go to Tarzana health and rehab center and if management is reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself.

They do not know how to taper you off of benzo's so if your DOC is that don't waste your time, it takes longer than 30 days to get you off those. I was sick the whole time I was there and wanted to go home, but I live in New York and didn't have money for plane ticket home, they want you to go to meetings from the time you get up till the time you go to bed. Then being so sick and barely able to function they dropped me off at Lax and basically washed their hands of me. I had no idea where to go because I could barely think. I almost missed my flight then had a lay over in Georgia what a nightmare couldn't just schedule a direct flight for me home. Once you do your 30 days they dont give a rats ass about you. Its all about the money!

They let me in before this is a dual diagnose. I have a drug and a emotional problem. And they know and it's grief it went to someone's desk and they specifically said no. 20 minutes before I even supposed to get into this Uber. I'm rejected and now I'm at home and let's hope fentanyl or something doesn't take me out. The Weight of Compassion I've seen it all in recovery's fight, how we forget the pain our of the darkest night. We think we're better, we think we've won, but who are we to turn away anyone? Addiction can be combative, angry, afraid, and sometimes it feels like they lost they're way. "F you" or "go f yourself " sometimes is the best thing I can ever hear Because It shows me they're ready to fight for their life , but they're still stuck in fear! But every day is a new chance, a fresh start, even if they fall, we still have heart. We think we're strong because we've come this far, but what's strength if we forget who we are? Were weren't born in pain, or in love that was lost? So we can find our strength again and take it back at all costs! It doesn't matter if you were born rich or born not so lucky But fuck it what is money?power? Recovery if we still live in shame! But the point's not where we've come from or been, it's knowing we're human, we all have our own sin. Remember the day All we needed was someone to say, "Here's my hand, let me help you find your way." I worked in recovery, helped people stand, But trust me I've seen some fall and die It's shit i'll never comprehend. my mom always said, " I don't care if they've been here once or 100 times" let them in because you never know when the miracle will happen. WE WILL never turned anyone away no matter where they've been! I believe in divine intervention! That's why I have integrity and good intentions! It's not about days, not about the using streak-- It's about the  love and compassion, when it's help that they seek. Addiction has a grip on my boyfriend , and a lot of my friends and sometimes it feels like there's no end. But I'll never turn away, no matter how much they've fallen, because I know the pain of being forgotten. So If they need help, be here to stand, whether they stumbled or just need a hand. Lake Balboa Care Center was the best-case scenario during a stressful time for our family. My mom…read morespent two weeks here recovering, and a family friend thankfully recommended this facility to us. After looking at other options, Lake Balboa was clearly a step above, and they truly live up to the 5-star ratings they proudly display throughout the hallways. From the admissions team to the social workers, nurses, physical therapists, janitorial staff, and everyone in between, the entire team was professional, kind, and consistent. As a family member, you're not just "along for the ride" here. They keep you in mind too. You're greeted with smiles, updates, and they do an amazing job of quickly putting a name to a face. From intake to discharge, everything was handled smoothly, and even after my mom checked out, they were still helpful with the follow-up questions I had. The only downside: the food isn't great. To be fair, this isn't a restaurant, so it's not a dealbreaker, but it's worth mentioning. The easy workaround is that there are plenty of food options nearby, the location is very central in the Valley and easy to get to, and food delivery was what we leaned on. The facility also offered to store food in a fridge, which we did, and that made things much easier. If you or a loved one are looking for a care facility, I highly recommend Lake Balboa Care Center.
