Dominic is awesome! We hired him for our son's 3rd birthday party. He was on time and the only thing he needed was a place to sit for himself and the people wanting the art. We booked him for two hours and during our session asked for additional 30 minutes because more people were interested than I had originally planned. He takes Venmo so super easy and efficient. Everyone loves their art and I had lot of friends who thought he was great so they wanted to use his services for their future parties. I would say it's a hit! We hired Dominic for our wedding and from the first email to the day of when all was done, he was extremely responsive, friendly and personable. I was a little hesitant to hire a caricaturist solely on their website photos, but I'm so glad we decided to go with Dominic. His art is even better in person! My favorite was of my dad's caricature that looked exactly like him! I loved it!! There was a second caricaturist that he brought with him, who was good but had a very different, cartoony style. So I heard everyone was waiting for their turn with Dominic because he's just that talented. The caricaturists were the hit of the wedding and I cannot thank them enough! It was a great souvenir for our guests and for us! Highly recommended! As a side tip for parties, my brother eventually came up with the genius idea of a numbering system to help the line go smoother and let everyone enjoy their time at the wedding without losing their place in line. Unfortunately, we were not very happy with the artist and overall experience. To start off, I kept seeing all these reviews saying how awesome Dominic was, so that's who I thought I was getting, but that's not who showed up. Dominic contracts other artists and we didn't know that. This wouldn't have been that bad, but... The guy who showed up, Adrian, was not very friendly. He was not rude or anything like that, but he just seemed like he didn't want to be there and never flashed a smile while interacting with him. From my perspective, it would have been nice to have my guests interact with someone who projects a pleasant personality. Secondly, his caricatures did not look anything like my guests. I'm not saying he wasn't a good artist because the drawings themselves looked professional, but when comparing them to the person they were based on, it did not look like them. For example, he'd make sure the caricature was bald if the guest was bald, but none of the facial elements came out and that was very disappointing. I asked several of my guests what they thought of the drawings and none of them thought it actually looked like them in the picture. In the end, he showed up on time and did the drawings, but there was a lot left to be desired. read more
