I have traveled all over Europe and have had superb service in every fine luxury retailer. As it should be. Cartier store in Madrid has the absolute worst customer service. We stood for 15 minutes waiting to just be recognized as a customer when the doorman expressly asked if we are here for service or purchase. 5 attendants walked by us back and forth in a small store and a small space IGNORING 3 of us. Only stuck it out because Gad no other time to buy a gift. But literally attendant here needs to have management reconsider how they conduct business and represent their store. Cartier's UK, Italy, US and many others attentive, kind and pleasant. This was the worst experience and a pity it was the only option to get what I needed. Skip it and purchase at Galería or anywhere else Cartier products are sold! read more

This sales man was super rude. After waiting for 45 mins at the store I asked him how much longer it would be. He basically yelled at me in the middle of the store. I was going to buy a bracelet but after being yelled by this extremely rude man I was completely put off. I left because who would want to buy something after being treated like that? Really crazy. Ok, the only reason I went in this store was because I didn't want to spend $300 on the pair of Pedro Munoz shoes I had just seen in the store window across the street.... uh,- and after sticker-shock at the prices in Cartier,- I promptly went across the street and bought those shoes!!! The store is elegant and well appointed, the staff friendly and courteous but since price tags are discreetly hidden, you are f-o-r-c-e-d to ask a salesperson to pull the piece out before you can see the price! ("dirty pool" in my book) Then, once they have placed the jewelry, watch, etc. on top of the counter you are obliged (out of courtesy) to listen to the sales pitch and since they don't have a medical staff on board they can't perform a lobotomy which would be necessary for me to even have the desire to pay $30,000 for a freakin watch!!! read more
