Design was good but crazy expensive and they tried to charge more for design that was already in original price. You should ask to speak to former clients two years AFTER install and maintenance - we had to redo many things. Had to replace leaking, low quality irrigation - wasted a LOT of water. Water feature was inappropriate for our soil and is a leaking mess. Paid for a meadow but got a field of lupine that choked out everything else - looks like an abandoned lot of brown collapsed bushes in year two (lupine seeds cost a fraction of the price of wildflower meadow mix). They pushed for months long contracts with extra fees that added 17.5% to total. Might be good for a smaller project but def would not use for anything larger than a small Portland yard.

SymbiOp has been amazing over the last year or so, substantially transforming our entire outdoor…read morespace from something drab and dull (as it was when we bought the house a few years ago) to something that will be lush, native, and *mostly edible* in just a year or two! SymbiOp took the time to come out and partner with us to co-create the entire exterior of our modest lot, listening attentively to our desires and dreams, and creatively translating them into a reality that worked within our budget. They created initial designs, talked through them with us over the phone, made adjustments along the way and helped us feel in control of the scope of the project each step of the way. After planting, they walked through the changes and explained the attributes of each plant, gave us tips on how to maintain them, suggestions on the best products for a watering system we've just installed to give these plants to support they need to get established. Everyone who visits raves about how wonderful everything looks, filling us with pride and happiness. It's so cool to walk through and break off leaves to taste or smell all the variety of greens, herbs, flowers, and veggies we now have growing all around our house. We couldn't be more satisfied with the results so far, and we are reassured that the relationship we've established with the fine folks at SymbiOp will be something we can rely on in the future for ad-hoc consultation and advice services as needed.

I wish I could give a 5 star review because the owner is so friendly and the price can't be beat!…read more I hired them to remove a couple small trees, prune trees, and trim several hedges. Some of the work was fine but the cuts for the hedges trimming looked like they'd been chewed off by a beaver instead of cut by a sharp tool. Not the quality I expect from professionals and I worry for the health of my hedge. Also most of the trimmed hedge branches were just left laying on top of the hedge and weren't apparent until the leaves turned brown. I had to climb up a ladder to pull down at least a dozen 6+ foot long branches and my hedge is only about 15 feet long. I emailed the owner hoping he'd be receptive to feedback but never heard back.

5 Stars - Exceptional Service and Beautiful Results!…read more True Depth Services LLC went above and beyond with the work they did at my home. I had them stain a portion of my fence, and it turned out absolutely beautiful. The results speak for themselves--I even took photos to show off how clean and polished it looks. They also helped me haul away two sets of couches and some trash. What impressed me most was how carefully they handled everything. They professionally wrapped the furniture in cellophane before moving it, transported it with care, and then unwrapped and staged it perfectly at the delivery location. It was seamless and thoughtful service from beginning to end. What really stood out to me was their eye for quality. I asked them to help me find palm trees, and they picked out the most stunning ones. At a very reasonable price The trees they chose truly elevated the look of my backyard. They also guided me on the best spots to place them, and the layout turned out perfect. They work on the sliding fee scale so if you think you can't afford the job, it's still worth your time to call these people. They work in teams of one to 10 depending on the magnitude of the job. Next, they're bringing in boulders for my backyard waterfall project, and I'll be posting updated pictures once everything is complete. Shakir, the company's founder, is professional, reliable, and has a great eye for beautiful outdoor design. I highly recommend True Depth Services LLC for anyone looking to enhance their property with quality service and style even though on a modest budget! These people make it work.

Avoid This Landscaping Company - Unfinished, Poor Work & Overcharging…read more I hired True Depth Servies, with the owner Shakir, for three projects: 1) tilling and adding soil, 2) installing sod in a muddy dog play area, and 3) building garden beds. Unfortunately, my experience was a complete disaster. * Soil Tilling - This was barely done and left in a sloppy, uneven mess. They didn't even start tilling until 4 or 5 in the evening, and only after my wife and I went out with a shovel to check if it had been done. It was clear they had not started until that moment. The quality of work was extremely poor. * Sod Installation - The job was never fully completed. The area is still missing grass on all sides, and instead of addressing the issue, the landscaper claimed the sod supplier "gave extra sod" and then tried to charge me more unexpectedly. To make matters worse, the amount of sod left on-site--still sitting in my yard--is exactly enough to have finished the job. Yet, they left without completing the work. * Garden Beds - While they looked okay at first, the landscaper failed to put down a layer of sand before finishing. After we had already paid him $2,500 just for this part of the project, he casually mentioned, "Oh yeah, I might add some sand to the soil." We were incredibly unhappy with this lack of professionalism and oversight. To make matters worse, the landscaper was difficult to work with, unprofessional, and even intimidating. I paid nearly $5,000 for this project, and I feel completely ripped off. If you're looking for a reliable, professional landscaper, I strongly advise avoiding this company. Save yourself the headache and hire someone reputable.
