I came to Wisconsin on a girls weekend to get out of the city. My roommate, a Baraboo native, always comes back from home with cool furniture or jewelry that she finds in Baraboo antique stores so I was excited to try and find my own treasures. Our first stop in Baraboo's quite happening antique scene was Oak Street Antiques and Yarn Nook. We met up with my roommate's mom who was checking out as we walked in, but I was immediately distracted by a trunk full of wrapped presents. They were all $2 and labeled with the age range that the item inside would be appropriate for. I stood there for a good 5 minutes talking myself out of purchasing an armload full of them because I love a bargain and a surprise. After I got over my irrational urge to buy all the surprises, I started to look around the store. I really liked the layout and flow of the store. There were items everywhere, but I never felt overwhelmed and there was always room for 2+ people to move about. The front right corner of the store is the "yarn nook" section where you can buy all types of yarn and accessories and in the back left corner, there were a few ladies sitting around a large table and knitting. The back right corner has a room full of clothes, from old fur coats to shoes, to purses. The remainder of the store is full of items from postcards, cast iron, jewelry, books, boy scout uniforms, sleds, furniture, and tons of other unique items. There were quite a few items that piqued my interest but I had to resist as they were not practical purchases. I can't wait for my next trip to Baraboo to check out the new inventory at Oak Street Antiques!

They keep the store very clean and the service is generally very friendly. There is one clerk who hasn't been in very good moods but you'll find that anywhere. The consignment aspect is a nice feature if you're interested. You can either cash out if your items are purchased or keep it as store creddonates. Will sort theough your items and take things that corespond with the current season. Note: they only keep your unsold items for so long and if you don't come to pick it up by the set date, it will get donated. There isn't a reminder that I know of so that's a downside. Overall, it's a great alternative to online places like Poshmark or Mercari to sell your items and shop for cute quality clothes, plus, it's great to stay local!

I was blown away by the service, precision, expediency, assistance, AND price of working with Baraboo RadioShack on this project; I walked in on a Saturday, talked with Austin about the specific games I was looking to be able to play on high quality settings, gave him my price range, and 3 weeks later already have a perfectly constructed, spot-on gaming PC that meets all of my needs. On top of that, I'd hit a couple of snags due to my inexperience, and reached out on Facebook for some troubleshooting tips; within an hour all questions were answered -- and this was past closing time!! It is so rare nowadays to receive such above and beyond service. I cannot recommend Baraboo RadioShack enough, and if anyone in the area is looking to build a custom PC, head on in and ask for their consultation. It's one of the best deals you could ask for. Tech pulled car in came back about 30 min later and told me they can't do the alaignment because of a bad strut and quoted me $680 for new struts in front. I declined he said OK I cancel the work order and good to go.. No paperwork no issue the only thing they never returned the payment. My mom called them and coorp and they told em the work was done... 116 bucks later car still has issues even they say it was done now and say they have paperwork and all.. Be careful with them... They did alot up selling at that day other lady got told she had "swollen" lug nuts and need 20 new nuts cost almost 300 bucks... I deff not take my car there anymore....
