In 2022 I had one of their Sr tax consultants help me with a non standard w2/tax issue. Their consultant was helpful and provided a written letter to do document the situation and provide to my employer. He also said that in 2023 we would have to correct the issue. Fast forward to 2023 I tried for 2 week to get ahold of the tax consultant to complete this issue. He never returned my calls. I even tried to talk to a receptionist and she could not get ahold of him. She advised that I come in to see one of the Sr tax consultants. I went to the appointment and explained what happened and the situation. He repeatedly said that there was nothing he could do, even after I provided a copy of the letter from 2022. After about 10 min of this and explaining the situation multiple time the Shockley staff keep saying not to blame him or get mad at time. At this point the rude behavior was more than I was willing to take, so I got up and left. At this point he used profanity and followed me to the door of the business verbally badgering me. He continued to badger me even as i was getting in my car. By advising me on a course of action and then the next not help does not leave me feeling that they are capable or knowledgeable about their services. The using profanity and badgering me as i left the business makes me feel like they do not have the customer's interest in mind.

In our initial consultation, Brian barely listened to what we were telling him. He preferred to look at maps, etc. I thought he knew what he was doing, so we went forward with him. After quite some time, I emailed him to ask for updates and if we could schedule a court date. His advice was to sit back and wait for the other side to act, so I did. We waited nearly 4 years with only minimal input from Brian other than receiving an invoice for payment. Then, earlier this year, a hearing was set for a summary judgement. Again, I spoke with Brian to give him details for our reply and he kept interrupting me, not listening and becoming frustrated that I was trying to tell him important details. Honestly, my impression was that he is on the autism spectrum and easily overwhelmed so I patiently gave him answers to specific questions that missed the important details of our case. He then notified us that he had to reschedule the hearing because he had a conflict... then nothing until today when he sent a journal entry he intends to send to the opposing council stating the judge ruled against us. We were not kept in the loop for years, he did not present our evidence (that the other side included lies and incorrect deeds in the original filing). When I questioned whether he represented our side, he replied that it wasn't about him....but he didn't answer the question. I feel that he did NOT properly represent us and cost us the judgment due to bad advice/lack of robust representation. I would NOT recommend Brian Huddleston and see that there is another review that is only 3 months old with similar complaints. This is NOT a competent attorney who cares to represent you.
