My parents are quite elderly (my dad is 94), and there are some extremely sharp turns getting into his parking garage. That is ONE bad combination! Their car sustained lower door damage on both sides from poor maneuvering these corners and continuously losing battles with the garage's concrete pillars. I drove with them to the downtown Audi dealership where they recommended getting four new doors for over $10 thou. YIKES. My dad's car is old but barely has any miles on it, and it drives perfectly. Just the lower half of the doors are messed up (one side was way worse than the other. The driver's side just had minimal dents and scratches. Still noticeable, though). Spending 10,000 on an older car for aesthetic reasons only seemed unreasonable. And my dad rarely drives the car, too. So we all decided, this solution was not reasonable for this car, for the way my dad uses it. My folks then drove around NDG as my mom remembered passing an auto body shop in her travels. Upon returning home, my dad said the place was super "shady". Sounded like a backyard operation. No way would he stop there, not even for an estimation. I told him, hey, let me do some research on Yelp and ask around, and I'll find a reputable auto body shop where he can get one more estimate and then decide if it's worth it to fix the car there, or at the dealership, or not at all. I found Clifton Auto on Yelp and the reviews, though few in number, were all stellar. And it's not far from my folks' condo. And they have great operating hours. And they've been in business sine 1982. I had a good feeling about this place! So we went there and was greeted by Pahreeve (I know I am totally misspelling his name, and I apologize in advance!). And he was phenomenal. Been in the biz for ages. Looked at my dad's car and said he can't guarantee they can fix the doors to 100% perfection, but he can get them to 80%. (My dad and I really appreciated his honesty here. We don't like surprises). We were quoted a price of $3000 and a lead time of approx. 10 days. My dad and I thought this reasonable, and paperwork was signed. My dad brought in the car a few days later and, sure enough, it was ready for pick up 9 or 10 days afterwards. I just spoke to my folks yesterday and they are THRILLED BEYOND WORDS, saying the car doors look PREFECT. Clifton Auto fixed them to 100% perfection, and they said they'd never even know there had been damage on them. There are zero indentations and the paint job is flawless. It looks like new. Thank you, Clifton Auto, for working your miracles and saving the day. You made my elderly parents so happy.

The two young professionals, Justin and Kevin whom own and operate BB Performance were such a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. I had them - Inspect the car - Change my transmission oil and Filter and pan gasket - Remove and replace all 4 of my shocks, I now have Brand New Bilstein 4600 shocks installed in my 4runner Furthermore they were able to locate another potentially expensive problem and successfully fix it with a smart cost effective solution! AND to top it all off a complementary windshield washing and application of Aquapel (its like Rain-X on steroids). Unfortunately, the ECM had proprietary software and they tried and tried and couldn't resolve it. Nonetheless, they tried very hard and helped me get it to a reputable dealer. The real kick is this. They had lots of opportunity to charge me anything as I was desperate and these fine folks made this one of the most reasonable transactions dealt with from me in decades. Awesome people. I brought my car in for some minor scratches that I was nonetheless concerned could rust. I also wanted to have the car rust-proofed. In passing, I told the manager, George, that he could go ahead and fix any minor scratches that he thought would be worthwhile, as long as the cost overruns were kept to a minimum. The guys kept my car longer than initially scheduled and the entire process cost a few extra hundred bucks, but when I got my car back it looked brand new. We are talking a 6 year Honda that has criss-crossed the entire continent. They made it look absolutely brand new. For an absolutely pittance, I got a brand new car. Bottom line here is that if you are looking for a fast and dirty service, go somewhere else. But if you want the job to be well done, thorough, and professional, than come to Park Lane Auto Body. I've only found the latter of the four since I moved to MTL a month ago... Anyways, back to European Motorwerk. I've been here twice for 5 issues: My BMW's HID headlight died, my headlights were leaking water whenever i washed the car, the trunk leaked water during car washes, the front suspension was making increasingly weird rattling noises, and my steering was unusually stiff at certain angles. After googling on the forums, I went to Hassan and he was very straightforwards about the work. The price was very reasonable (although parts can be a bit more expensive compared to what I'm used to paying in the US). All the mechanical repairs were done as expected in a timely manner (next day both times), but the best part is the water leak repairs. I had mentioned the issues to my previous two mechanics in Chicago and Atlanta as well as two BMW dealers. The dealers wanted to replace the 1000 dollar headlights and the mechanics basically said well... too bad. Hassan actually was proactive about it and resealed my headlights (added a thick bead of RTV-like material around them) and also sealed up the trunk. The extra charge for this was minimal and the haven't leaked since. The icing on the cake is that he keeps the parts he replaces off your car until you pick the care up so you can see what the issue was. As a car person, I've found paradise. (If anyone has recommendations for the other 3 services, I'll be glad to hear it...)
