He even texted me before the Christmas Holiday to see when I would be coming to pick up the books, as they were going to be closed Christmas week. It was no problem. The Monday after Christmas I texted the owner to see if I could come by to pick up books, which I did. They did a great job helping me out. I had a cash payment of a $50 bill in my hand to pay for their services. The owner said "Merry Christmas, it's on us!" Man did that make my day!!

I recently found a stainless steel bowl at my late father's house that was a precious memory of my childhood. My mom used it to whip cream and I've never found a bowl that is like it--high sides--the perfect bowl. After my mom passed, my dad evidently used it to mix paint in. (!) I found it outside, under a tree, probably sitting there for years. It was rusty and stained with paint and caked with dirt. My efforts at cleaning it were worthless. I contacted custom powder coating to see if they could sandblast it. They said they would, but couldn't really give me a price. I was just happy they would try to fix it for me and didn't care how much they would charge. They called me a day later to say they had cleaned it. They couldn't sand blast it because it would come in contact with food, but they scrubbed it with wire brushes. When I picked it up, they wouldn't accept payment, and the bowl is almost as good as new. What a gift these folks have given me. Thank you Custom Powder Coating!

This is such a valuable and personal token that I wanted to give my husband, for accomplishing one of the biggest achievement of his career. Since I met him over a decade ago, he has always wanted to be a Fire Crew Captain. I sought out someone that could see, understand and appreciate my vision for this special monument. I reached out to Scott much too late to have a custom piece made by Christmas. As an artist myself, I fully invested and trusted him to bring everything together. It was also important that I shop local. I admire, respect and love so much that Stites not only has done so much for our community, but he honors and supports our veterans and first responders. I was so happy with the work done by Julian and his guys at Powder Man…read more I had an antique cast iron bookbinding press that I needed sandblasted and powder coated. Another outfit I called quoted me $100 an hour for sandblasting alone. Julian quoted me $35 for both sandblasting and powder coating-- and when i picked up my press, he lowered the price to $20, saying the job was easier than they anticipated. Julian's an older gentleman with a dead pan sense of humor that may have put other reviewers off. We just kept smiling and we were glad we did. My only complaint, and the reason I removed a star, was that the job wasn't done on the day we agreed. But in his defense, I did tell him when I dropped it off that I wasn't in a huge rush. I'll return to the Powder Man without hesitation.
