Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value. Called Carson Plumbing to replace our 21-yr old gas water heater. Cost quoted seemed decent and an appointment was scheduled. Tony arrived on-time, assessed the situation, made a plan, and got to work. Paul (Company Owner) arrived shortly after Tony started, helped get the old tank up the stairs and he (Paul) took it away. Tony finished the installation, tested out the new tank, showed us how to increase/decrease the water temperature, cleaned up after himself and departed. Very professional work by this company. The next day we noticed the water pressure in the house was much higher than in the 21-years we've owned the house. Called Carson Plumbing and in just a few hours, Tony arrived to the rescue ... He was up and down the stairs, possibly 12 times, between the flow valve and the outside water bib making small changes and then testing the changes. All was good when he departed. Two days later, water pressure was up again and after a short phone call, there was Tony. Not as many up/down trips this time but he got the pressure back to normal. From the moment Tony arrived he was pleasant, polite, and went straight to work. He threaded a pipe in order to hook-up a new toilet to water. Then he went straight to work to thread a pipe to make a connection to hookup a new toilet to water. Then Tony went to work to unclog a stationary tub drain which two previous plumbers said the unclogged. Tony figured out a new hookup so that he could get to the clog. Now I don't have to worry about the tub overflowing when the washing machine drains. Carson is my "Go to Plumber" from now on. The cost was surprisingly fair and reasonable. read more

My water heater leaked on a Memorial Day weekend. Carson Plumbing responded quickly to my request for quote/estimate on Yelp. Paul, the owner, and his assistant came the next day. Paul explained my options - (1) replaced the thermostat box and keep the existing heater or (2) replaced the entire water heater. I opted to replace the entire water heater for a peace of mind since the existing one was already 8 years old. Furthermore, Paul was very thorough in explaining why I need to go from 40 gallons to 30 gallons. Apparently, new regulations require new heaters to have an extra insulation which added 2 inches in diameter and since I have limited space, I went with the 30 gallons instead of paying extra to reconfigure to a new location. To make up for the decrease in capacity, Paul recommended and added a booster, which provided extra capacity of hot water. Paul was great in explaining the mechanics behind how things work. He answered every questions and concerns I had. He even messaged me 2 hours later to check up on the heater. I won't be hesitant to contract Carson Plumbing again. My problem started over the 4th of July holiday. The expansion tank over the top of my water heater failed, and hole in the top of it was shooting water everywhere. I shut off the water and started draining the tank to relieve some of the pressure. Afterward, I temporarily fixed the issue with some J.B. weld. As I was calling around for service (holiday weekend mind you), Carson was the ONLY vendor that I spoke with (spoke with close to 10 I'm certain) that referred me to another company, since they were unable to come out that day. Actually caring about my issue and trying to help me even when they couldn't, really impressed me. Fast forward to yesterday. I had let the issue go for a while since the J.B. Weld had held up, while I contemplated whether or not I wanted to try to fix it myself and deal with all the PVC pipe cutting. I decided against it and knew exactly who I wanted to have my business. I called Carson Plumbing, explained my issue, and was surprised that they were able to come out a few hours later that same day. The technicians arrived (Sam & Josiah), were very professional, cordial, and in the timeframe we agreed to. I let them get to work and they fixed the problem in no time! Afterward, they patiently walked me through what they had done. The work looks very clean and professional. I wouldn't have known they were there by looking at their workspace. I have nothing but good things to say. After getting several quotes ranging in $200-$350 to replace my kitchen sink faucet I called Carson Plumbing for pricing. I disclosed my issue, which was that the knob from inside the faucet (which makes the water have a seamless flow) had fallen out. Thus, anytime I ran the water it would spray it harshly everywhere. I was asked to send in photos so I did, well to my surprise I was told just how easy the fix could be. Sure enough my husband went to Home Depot and purchased a new faucet aerator that cost him just $4. Carson Plumbing, like everyone else, could have just told me that I needed to replace the entire thing and charge me $200, but he didn't. We were EXCITED to have been referred to Paul at Carson Plumbing. We were thrilled with our first business experience even though prices were high. The newest interaction however has compelled us to reverse comments of endorsement. Our complaint isn't a simple one as we were stuck between the contractor who made the original referral and Carson. We wanted to get all parties together and sort things out. Carson refused. I requested and was promised an itemized invoice and not just a number pulled out of the air. We got a lame and incomplete list that didn't break down services by time or by labor and parts. I requested greater detail and he went radio silent. He was paid in full and I'm kicking myself in the fanny for allowing to be taken for a very expensive ride!!! Carson hid from the contractor's calls who won't refer him anymore.
