My husband and I went there for the first time tonight and we really enjoyed it. We saw "The…read moreMarvelous Wonderettes" and we'd give the musical a 4 1/2. I only had one negative experience and that's when I was trying to ask someone if we could change seats and one of the ushers said "What's Your Problem?" Not too long after that, another usher offered her help and I appreciated her courtesy and customer service and shared that with her. Outside of the one negative experience, everyone else seemed very pleasant. We would definitely go back again and look forward to seeing another show. We know now the seats aren't very big and my husband would definitely need an aisle seat. What a pleasant and humorous musical it was, it definitely brought smiles to our faces. Also, one more side note, when we walked out of the theatre, the City of Paris had the lights on across the street at the park, it was beautiful and an added highlight to the evening.

They go to great lengths to select each years schedule and they hit it out of the park every time. They offer a great mix of family friendly entertainment and at great prices. They are a local 501c organization and every dollar received from ticket sales goes directly back into the theatre. They offer classes for all age groups and their children's theatre department puts on a wonderful performance each spring to not only the public, but also to local elementary students. If you haven't been there, haven't been there in years, or you go occasionally, PCT is sure to please whatever genre you are looking for. Thanks PCT for entertaining me and my family for all these years. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

I love new usage for old buildings, and this place is a classic example of that. It was previously…read morethe Collin County Courthouse, and it has been a excellently converted over to a performing arts center. I believe most of its usage is usually musical artists and small intimate concerts, but I was here to see a play. Specifically, I was watching "A Christmas Carol", a work I have always been fond of for my entire life. This was a special one hour adaptation of the play, written by Dr Andrew Harris. We did not come to McKinney specifically to see the play, but while we were there we were looking for a particular bookstore. Tiny Tim was outside the Performing Arts Center drumming up people to come in and watch the play when my wife asked him (really her) where we would find the bookstore. When we got to the bookstore, wouldn't you know, there was Dr Harris, doing an Author/Writer visit. How could we not take that as a sign and attend the play! Glad we did, it was a great experience!
