If you're after some tack-shmack Irish memorabilia - be it a sod of turf allegedly plucked from the bogs of Connemara or a blow-up leprechaun - then Carroll's is the place to head to. Carroll's must be the place where the 'Kiss me, I'm Irish' t-shirts worn by cheeky Shannons the world over originate.
Irish key rings, flags chocolates, aprons, pillowcases, hats, scarves, baby clothes, kitchen sinks - if it's possible to brand an object with the tricolour or a shamrock then they will do it and sell it to you. Naturally, this place is a tourist mecca and also appeals to the Irish who are heading abroad and in search of some cheeky, cheesy memento to give to their hosts. Obviously St. Patrick's Day is like Christmas Day for Carroll's coffers. The prices aren't bad but the authentic jerseys and Guinness memorabilia is a little bit more expensive.
