There service is slow except for one technician named Jacob: who was very thorough and very quick at working on my vechicle and even found something wrong with my vehicle that I hadn't even noticed was wrong and so I was able to get it fixed as well and still remain on my scheduled time I had chucked out for the day! The other technicians just seemed to be standing around not doing much of anything. As I walk out into the showroom to look at vechicles out there I walked passed the service mangers office and saw he was sound asleep on his desk; I didn't know employee's got paid to sleep there!! read more

I'll start by saying my husband and I have taken our vehicles to Carroll's for years to be serviced, repaired and warranted. We have always bought our vehicles outside the county because we have been snubbed by most dealerships in the county because we dress casual. They make comments such as "that's really too expensive for you" and "I don't think you really want to test drive that one" My husband, looking to order a brand new truck, decided to give Carroll's a try. The sales men said "That's awfully expensive" and laughed at my husband when he told him what he thought his trade in would be valued at. The salesmen then proceeded to use the same book to quote the price of the new truck. When my husband pointed this out "Why is that book good to quote your price but not good to quote my trade in value?" The salesman laughed again and my husband walked out. He ordered a brand new truck from the dealer in Bangor who has sold us our last 4 vehicles. The plow came with a part that doesn't have to be on but my husband wanted it on. He looked it up and it would be warranted. We took it to Carroll's despite the way we were treated earlier, where the person at the counter said it wasn't warranted, he wouldn't get paid and refused to work with us even after my husband showed him the paperwork. I've lived in the county for 25 years now and have always been glad to be here but when it comes to car dealerships, I wouldn't brag if I owned one. Even still, we might consider coming back to Carroll's if this is properly taken care of and we are contacted by the owner. We'll see. read more

Don't buy a vehicle from Carroll's unless you enjoy trying to convince the salesperson you can afford it! They talk down to you through the process! Then, if you buy a vehicle from another dealership the service department won't help you! They tell you to take it to the dealer you bought it from! It appears that unless you're a farmer, they can't help you! read more

Do I recommend Carroll's Auto Sales? There's no doubt in my mind. This weekend while over 1,000 miles away I was backed into a corner at another dealership and I didn't know who else to call other than Chris and Kirk. Though I may not have bought a car from them this go around, they were more then willing to share their time and expertise with me. My first visit to Carroll's Auto, for service was very disappointing. I will not return. My respected mechanic, thought instead of guessing with my issue with the car, I should take my Envoy to the dealership and have them diagnose the problem. The problem; in the hot weather my car would occasionally continue to run even though I shut it off. I was not there watching every moment, but when I did check a few times, I never seen anyone working on my vehicle. I checked with Josh, for an update. His replied, "The mechanic was chasing a short. After spending 2 1/2 hours waiting for an answer or a repair, I asked Josh, "Was there any safety issue if I just put the car into reverse to shut the car off. He said, no. I told him, "I'll take my car then and be on my way." Within five minutes, Josh came back and said, "The mechanic found the short, it was a cord and they remove it. I ask to have the cord so I could take it to my mechanic. I waited quite a bit of time for my bill. They made me feel like my time was insignificant and they would get to me, when it was convenient to them. My bill totaled $172.48, $162.21 labor and 9.73 Supplies and or Hazardous Waste Removal. When I left, I got into my car turned I turned it over and could not put it into drive because it was locked. I went back in told Josh; the console was locked up and I could not place it into gear. He got the mechanic, he asked for the cord, I gave it to him, and he put it back on the same place he showed me in the garage.
