After pointing out three concerns with their current practice I was asked not to come back…read more 1. This is the first practice ever where I have had to pay taxes for a fully covered preventative service. This is not a normal practice. I was met with a lot of rudeness when asked to have this explained to me. 2. During an appointment we were asked if we wanted fluoride. I asked if my children has already had their one covered for the year, and was told no. Then I was charged for the cost, because we had already had it at the last appointment. When I called to ask, I was told it was not the offices responsibility to know what I had been billed for. Even though they billed my insurance. I felt I was blamed for not doing a better job of checking their billing practices, instead of them questioning whether or not that is a shady practice. 3. The final straw was a shift to only scheduling 2 months in advance even though we should be regularly seen every 6 months. When I called to explain that this practice-serving service I was told if I didn't want to have to pull my children out of school for an appointment I was welcome to call each week to try to get a better time. Did you know that recently I get it feedback and questioning is not always welcomed.

We talked to a receptionist who asked a myriad of questions regarding what dental concerns we had,…read moreand asked what insurance we had for our son. After we confirmed that we did indeed have the proper insurance with Delta Dental, she proceeded to tell us, after a 3-4 minute phone call filled with questions for us to answer, that they are no longer accepting new patients. Why would you sit there for several minutes and ask someone a dozen questions only to tell us at the very end that you aren't taking new patients? You knew you were going to say no. What kind of business does this? You just wasted our time and yours. I would never go here, and would never recommend you either.

I was informed that I "needed to learn how to call in earlier" because I did not have transportation when I called to reschedule **My ride cancelled a day prior (after they closed)**. I brought my 4 year old here for his first dentist appointment ever. He is a very shy and nervous…read moreabout everything and also has anxiety so I heard a pediatric dentist would be best for him. I informed the hygienist how scared he was and how he has anxiety and she said no problem, that how at there office they always go over everything with the kids before they do it so they know what's coming and they work slow to keep the kids happy, which made me happy. However that never happened my son was put in the chair and simply said I'm going to look at your teeth and started cleaning. He had no clue what was going on and he freaked out. He was crying so hard and trying to get up. Then the hygienist asked me to help keep him down so she could finish. So I basically had to lay on top of him to let her clean his teeth when she was done his whole mouth was full of blood. I will never go back and will tell everyone who asks to find somewhere else because in my opinion that is not how to deal with children. My son says he will never go to the dentist again and it actually scared him so bad he developed a nervous tick from it that we had to take him to pediatrician for.

When she came out she was so drugged up it was terrifying . It was obvious she had been crying yet the staff never came to ask me how to proceed or inform me. Instead she told me how the one technician had informed her if she kept crying she would throw up and she would have to clean it up if she did. This was a scared 4 yr old child and that is how they dealt with her! Absolutely disgusting and I would never use a dentist geared towards children again. I switched to an elderly dentist who did not specialize in children and she never had an issue, he never scared her or hurt her. She was of course afraid at first thinking it might be like this place , but once she saw it wasn't she was fine. Thank goodness she didnt end up afraid of dentists forever.

I used to loathe going to the dentist, driving me to seek places that will sedate. I honestly can say I no longer fear the dentist, specifically because of people like Dr. Peterson. Of course, a lot of the cleaning is done by her staff, and they are excellent too. They have taken my concerns into consideration and done their best to alleviate any anxiety. I think it a testament to the professionalism and efficaciousness of her practice. Dr. Peterson has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to providing great treatment. It will take you two seconds of interaction with her to realize these things. I am truly grateful I was recommended to see her. As for the physical aspect of her environment, it's very warm and open, no doubt to help ease the nerves of patients. I think each exam room has a tv to also take your mind off of work being done. It has a very modern feel for a dentist's office, and even the instruments they utilize seem to be very modern and cutting edge. At least from what I've experienced elsewhere. My honest advice is that anyone in need I a new dentist, or for those of you that ever walk out of the dentist not being completely satisfied, give Dr. Peterson a visit!
