Well, the obvious answer was to burn it. But then, why not give the old bag a chance? So I called Quality Carpet. Eric and Bo showed up right on time and got to work. Mr. Cleaning has been taking care of our vacation home in Santa Cruz for the last several years…read more Simply put, Mr. Cleaning is absolutely fantastic. It always goes over and above any reasonable expectation as to what a good cleaning service does. For example, the last time Mr. Cleaning came to our house to do its work, Ed (the owner) went upstairs to our third floor. He noticed that there were seagull droppings on the Skylight on the third floor room.. Ed took it upon himself to grab a ladder and climb onto the third floor of our home to wash off the Skylight. Never in 1 million years would would my wife and I have expected our cleaning service to go onto our third story roof in order to clean a skylight. While on the roof, Ed noticed a tremendous amount of seagull excrement both on the built up portion of the roof and the perimeter roof tiles. Ed took it upon himself to get a power washer and wash the entire roof off, thereby eliminating the seagull excrement The foregoing is just one small example of the tremendous work that Mr. Cleaning has always done for us over the years. They are extremely conscientious. They are extremely thorough. And, it is not at all uncommon for Mr. Cleaning to do work that they deemed necessary, even if it falls outside the scope of their contract. A huge plus is that Mr. Cleaning is extremely reasonable in cost. My wife and I offer our vote and most sincere endorsement of Mr. Cleaning as the very best cleaning service in Santa Cruz and Santa Cruz County.

This week (October) I got a call to pick them up and that I had 2 weeks to pick them up or I would forfeit them. I had totally forgotten they were there and had not gotten a call before this one from them. So I went down to pick them up and they showed me some notes that they had left messages in April and June (I think). I never got those messages because if I had I would have put it on my calendar to go get them. Also their call notes never mentioned calling me in February. Then I was informed (and shown some fine print on the invoice) that they charge $1 a day when pickups are late adding over $200 to my bill. BS of the highest order. And to top it off they added 3.5% because I didn't have cash. I felt so cheated. I paid the vigorish and will never go back.

The fact the owner Hugo consistently delivers, both, year after year speaks volumes! I would also like to mention that we probably have the most challenging of carpets to clean, and he never bats an eye at the horrible co dictions he is challenged with. You see we are a 27 unit complex of Seniors and Disabled Folk using all sorts of mobility aids from canes to walkers to electric wheekchairs which drag I everything you can imagine. Then after dragging in the unimaginable, rolling back and forth over that stuff, getting it nice and ground in into the carpet, coupled with the grease and oil from the sidewalks and roads, throw in some spilled blueberries, and topping that mixture off with a ton of shedding pet hair and yeah--yuch! I was so embarrassed for him to see mine today. With al the past rain and my chair doubling as a garden tractor, my pretty blue plush carpet was almost black. Soooo disgusting.
