I took my comforter in to be dry cleaned a week 2 weeks ago. When I was told that it would be ready in a week or less, and I never heard from them after a week, I called them to check on it.Adam Horm, the owner, told me I better come look at my comforter because it had been damaged. He had washed our comforter which stated on the tag "dry clean only" He claimed that some of the stains wouldn't come out when they dry cleaned it, so, instead of calling me, he decided to wash it and in doing so, melted off all the decoration on the entire comforter. I told him I refused to pay for it since he ruined it and he said he didn't expect me to. I asked him to replace it and he said that he didn't have to that I signed a statement claiming to not hold them responsible for any damage they cause. Which is absolutely ridiculous and I never received a copy of that statement. How can you not replace something that you damaged when you went against what the cleaning instructions were. He said he would try to contact the manufacturer and see if they would send me a new one. I have called 2 times in the last week and he won't return my phone calls. But regardless, it is poor business. And very ludicrous that you wouldn't replace something that you damaged due to failure of following instructions. He should have contacted me if the stains wouldn't come out. Just very unprofessional and this was part of a $200 set. I asked him just to give me something for the comforter since its ruined. He could seem to care less how he treats his customers. read more
