This was our second sale with Cripple Creek, and we will do more!…read moreThe whole experience was easy and very positive. Our rig was clean and ready to go when we brought it in, but Darrell did his normal professional inspection getting things perfect for the next owner. The paperwork was minimal to get things processed and they worked hard to find a qualified buyer. Great dealing with honest caring folks!

Knowing that they are a small business we called ahead of time to schedule an appointment to view the camper we found through a third party listing. They responded almost immediately and remained very easy to get ahold of through the entire experience. They stayed a bit after hours for us to view the camper, answered all our questions, and - part of what we enjoyed the most - applied absolutely NO pressure to purchase whatsoever! Not once did we ever feel like we were being talked into a purchase. They wanted us to do what was best for our family and it was obvious! We agreed to purchase the camper on a handshake and let them know we would have to get some business in order. A couple of weeks later once all business was handled on our end we showed up for our scheduled final walk through and Darrell talked my husband and I through every inch of the camper as requested. He even generously helped my husband install a goose box attachment for no additional charge. We can't speak highly enough about Cripple Creek RV and, while we don't plan on selling or purchasing another RV anytime soon, we hope to return when the time comes. Thank you, Lori and Darrell!

Everything was ok until Chad and his son-in-law started getting weird & jealous so they disconnected the water & electricity on us, so we couldn't wash or check the appliances. I even offered to pay extra so we could have water and Chad wanted me to pay $1200 to fix his problem where he owed money. Whatever personal financial problems they have they should not take it out on their customers and yes they are having major financial problems to the point that they had to sell off an acre land from the storage and Chad had to AirBnb his home and move into a trailer. Chad and his son-in-law would ask personal questions about our business which was personal. Everyone's rent went from $90 to $130 a month last January and I seen 10 or more customers leave right after that. There are wild scary dogs roaming around because they don't want to fix the fence. The main gate is always broken so anyone can get in if they wanted to. There is the biggest dump sight x2 in Fort Worth which is down the street so your RVs will always get super dirty fast. There are rats that will eat the cables in your RV so be careful even if you're renting. They don't cut the trees so you are forced to drive through them and scratch your RV and it's not lit up at night, I mean pitch dark. I would catch the son-in-law going into our RVs and taking parts off our RVs. It was strange when our battery charger pack disappeared. If they would have had cameras maybe I would have known who did it. Every time we would show our RVs to our dealer customers they would sit there staring at us which was very uncomfortable & even approached me when I was showing a dealer one of the RVs to start an argument over the dumpster which I was told we could use. The sportsman's rental part was a nightmare and I would hear them arguing with their customers many times because they didn't have it ready in time for the rental business. Chad would make his poor daughter work in the 110 degree heat cleaning RVs with a infant baby attached to her hip while the son-in-law would curse at her and call his baby a A-hole and sit in his truck with the A/C running. Who does that? This was a real circus and I hope they clean their act because they way it looks they will not be having this business for long. The great part for me was I was able to purchase a wonderful 3.4 acre piece of land with a wonderful home on it 10 min away and business is going so well ever since we left. I advise you not to put a credit card on file, if you do, make sure that you tell your bank not to have over the limit turned on and transfer only the rent amount or get a prepaid credit card. They love to charge peoples credit cards and looking at there Google reviews from lowest stars you will see what I am talking about. Both for there rental and sportsman rental part they have a problem over billing people and charging big amounts for nothing. There are so many better choices where you don't have to park your RV on dirty rocks & deal with these financially strapped folks who don't have experience or know how to run a business. I pray that no one will have to experience dealing with Yard Dogs.

Parking was $5. There was a playground for kids, the lake had a large swimming area, and the grass was well maintained. There were bathrooms, but they aren't air conditioned so it was like a sauna and there was no toilet paper as it got later in the night. Luckily I had baby wipes in my bags with me. There were ants that would bite every once in a while and that was probably the worst part. It would be nice to have power outlets for our speakers, a concessions stand for snacks so we don't have to leave the park if we ran out, and I wish we could have rented some boats or something. But besides that my friends and I had an awesome time. I definitely recommend this park for good times at the lake

Launching the boat by 7:00 am and returning late in the evening, skimming across the water as the moon light bounced off the water, as smooth as black glass. The smell of the night air, the cool breeze on your sun kissed skin, and the sound of the engine purring as we cruised back to the dock, was the perfect ending to a perfect day. The Army Corps of Engineers designed these boat ramps with everyone's safety in mind. The boat ramps are well lighted and maintained; most have floating docks, where your family can easily board the craft. http://brigittethompson.hubpages.com/hub/Things-to-do-on-Lake-Belton-Texas-Marinas-Fishing-Camping-Boating-Hiking-Trails We would ski across the lake to our favorite spot, beach or anchor the boat, grab the cooler, set up the BBQ pit and lawn chairs. My brother and his friends would fish from dawn to dusk, and I would hang out in the water soaking up the sun with my girl friends. I still remember the smell of the hamburgers and hotdogs, cooking on the grill, and the sound of my parent's laughter echoing off the canyon walls as they sat around the fire with their friends and told stories about life and the crazy things that went on in their jobs. As an adult, I knew this was something I wanted to share with my children and so a family tradition began. We have, water-skied, tubed, fished, picnicked and camped at several of the wonderful locations on Lake Belton. Together we made great memories, our children have since grown up, and have moved away to start careers and families of their own. When my son was 15, he gave us the greatest compliment any parent could ever receive. He said, "Thanks for teaching me how to fish, to water ski, drive and pull a boat and park a camper. Because of you, I will be able to do all these things with my family one day." And so the family tradition of a day at the lake will continue for generations to come. I believe spending time together as a family needs to be a part of everyone's life, all to often we are caught up in the drama of our careers, and the exhaustion of trying to keep it together, we often forget the simpler things in life. Belton Lake has many things to offer from fishing docs, campgrounds for tents and campers/RV's. There are fantastic parks, with picnic tables, shade trees, pavilions, playscapes, public beaches located in BLORA and Temple Lake Park, nature trails and more. In this article, I hope you will find great information on things to do and see on Lake Belton, Texas.

I have a lot to say about this park!…read more After calling multiple rv parks one of them recommended this park and I'm glad they did! It was a great price with full hook ups and we really needed an overnight stop with a pool for the kids after being in the car for so long! The pool was great! Obviously warm water considering the weather but it had a shallow area with Little Rock fountains. Multiple dog parks also helped a TON considering we travel with our high energy pup as well! They have a ton of spots and some have covers. Lots of room for bigger rigs (we are 45' toy hauler plus a truck). The bathrooms by the pool also have a shower as well as a laundry room and gym. The bathrooms aren't AMAZING but I have definitely seen much, much, much worse. Rhett are dated but clean. We are SO BUMMED we did not make it in time for the included breakfast. We all slept in since we have been traveling such long days...figured sleep was necessary. BUT apparently it's amazing and they make it to order. The owners/staff are so sweet and helpful and made the check in process quick and easy. Especially without having a reservation. They offer propane on site which is easily accessible. The only downside is being right if I-35 so you do get noise but it might be better if you're further back on the property. Didn't bother us much but we are used to noise! And who can't forget Magnolia??! It was about a 10/15 minute drive to downtown Waco! I would definitely stay here again especially for the price and the owners were fabulous. Next time we will have to make it to break
