I'm just going to come out and say it, finding a good irrigation/sprinkler pro/landscaper is hard…read more Really hard. I can't even count how many we contacted and never got calls returned or those we contacted, even made plans to do the work and they ghosted or took so long to respond we couldn't make plans for the rest of the work around them. I'll admit, the job wasn't the easiest but it also wasn't extremely difficult so we were trying to get a range of quotes/ideas because the quotes we did get ranged from a few hundred dollars to several, several thousands of dollars which I literally laughed out loud when I saw that one. To be blunt, desperation led us to Thumbtack and that's how we found Alpha1. We found a few other places on Thumbtack as well but Alpha1 was the best of any of the companies we had contacted overall and they seemed to have great online reviews. Not only was Hugo responsive, he was incredibly knowledgeable and came up with a great solution to fix our whacky irrigation situation that was holding up some other landscaping work. His pricing was reasonable and he was extremely easy to work with. When we got the work scheduled, him and his crew were there bright and early and even helped us with a few other things they noticed while they were here. They worked their butts off and completed the work in 2 days (exactly what they estimated) and did a great job of cleaning up the work areas and dirt too. Basically, they installed a new control box and added two new sprinkler zones which is working great for what we needed. All in all, I can't recommend them enough. I'm really glad that we found a company with such a great crew and would recommend them to anyone.

They also replaced my old programer with one much easier to understand and adjust. Will highly recommend them in the future to friends and family!

They said their pickup was broken. The driver tried to back down my driveway and broke only a few branches before I stopped him. He wanted to back more but I like my trees with branches. So he dumped the load a couple hundred feet up at the entrance to the drive as I requested. I am a 78 y/o man with a bad back, but I like my trees. Many of the pieces of wood were too big to use in my fireplace, I will have to cut them. Many others were were chunks that won't stack well. Others were partially rotten and won't provide much heat.. I have a large pile of small pieces and baskets full of shredded juniper bark that the rodents can use to build nests if it isn't too late. Unfortunately I have plenty of kindling and I doubt there are enough rodents near my house to take all that bark. I am not sure how to dispose of it since I don't yet have a county burning permit and my trash service is limited. I suppose the upside is that I don't have to stack a lot of wood. It is a mess: there will residue around until spring, at least, since a real cleanup will take several days and there are other things I have to do.. To their credit, sorta, the 1/4 cord of wood was very large, but now I have to deal with it all. I guess I could hire someone (at about the same cost as the wood). Never again!
