Do not HIRE her as wedding planner!!!!!!! No joke, waste of time, money, gives you anxiety, stress and headache. Wedding is a lifetime event and she is not even worth it for the day of the wedding because you will be doing it yourselves after paying all that money. If you have friends and family, they can take care of it much better than her. She wasn't accountable for anything. If you ask her to do something, she will have excuses. You will have to be on top of her stuff instead of her doing the planning and executing. If you already have a contract with her, please do not be fooled by her promises, be wary of her WORDING. I would highly recommend you to NOT hire this company for your special occasion. Not only is the decorator unprofessional, but also did not deliver on the majority of our contract's agreement. We hired Rahma for our mehndi and shaadi wedding ceremony and all the decor was underwhelming, cheap and quite frankly not what we asked for. Rahma was impossible to reach throughout the entire process and never available to schedule appointments with either. The few times we did meet or talk with her she seemed confident in being able to deliver what we asked for but nothing came through as promised. Our mehndi stage was a tiny structure in a completely different shape than what we asked, casting shadows on all our pictures. She was supposed to provide a backdrop curtain to hide the stage behind and that wasn't even delivered. The table decor for the wedding day was absolutely horrific. We asked for a candle trio oasis design with submerged florals and what she delivered on the day of the wedding reception was two tiny jars just filled with water and floating candles. Those are just a few examples of the horrific experience we had with her. After all was done we asked to be refunded for the promises she did not deliver on per the contract and she refused to refund us a fair amount, lied and accused of us saying things we never did, blamed the outcome on us and stopped replying. The bride's family was never refunded anything.  If you want a joyous and memorable occasion please do yourself a favor and do not hire this unprofessional decorator. I was planning not to leave a review and just get over things that happened but after CWB (Carolina Wedding Belle) left just a snarky review under my parent's comment (Anil P) I feel like I need to speak up because the bride, groom, guests, and bridal party were NOT happy in the least. This is the only reason why I made a Yelp account. First, even though we were very upset with the whole process, we never asked for a refund. We seriously just wanted to let all this go. My parents just left their honest review because they were really frustrated for me. We had problems with communication and response times as well as quality of work (ex. saying they would respond to something or check a contract by a certain day and not delivering or missing things in contracts that we had to catch ourselves). And the way CWB treated my parents on their response back is absolutely unacceptable. We would've accepted and email or phone call from CWB to talk things out and remove the review but haven't heard anything. A lot of people have asked why we didn't just break the contract with CWB if we were so unhappy with their services but it was too late into the wedding process to find a new planner and go through that mess. I really had confidence that with my family and friends we could pull this off and kept giving CWB the benefit of the doubt and tried to have faith. We really just sucked it up and did most the work ourselves and one more time, wanted to let it go. But my parents were frustrated, as they should be because we paid good money, so they wrote their honest review. And throwing all of our names out there? That's certainly not professional and a privacy concern. Please learn how to handle clients before you start throwing people's information on the internet. We never approved of this. CWB has this thing where if things go wrong they always blame the client. If the things they promise are not written on paper they change it later. It happened on multiple occasions with our wedding and they don't think we notice. For instance, when we first talked (December 2018) she told me the first 3 bridal party bouquets would be free and we would have to pay for the rest, a la carte. I SPECIFICALLY remember this because I was writing down notes and I was a little taken back because I realized we had to pay for 8 bouquets out of 11 but it was fine and we could do that. Then a few weeks before the wedding when I mentioned it again she charged for ALL of them. They did things like this multiple times to whoever was involved with the wedding planning. I am personally lucky I have family, friends, and a superb bridal party that stepped in and helped control and run the wedding. Like when we were trying to take pictures after the ceremony and things were getting chaotic...a wedding planner is supposed to get the group in control right? Well instead, my cousin stepped in and took over because CWB doesn't know how to manage a large crowd apparently. AT MY OWN RECEPTION...I was running around with my bridesmaids and uncle trying to figure out where they left the football giveaways (we finally found them in a box behind a bar in the hall) and had to put them out ourselves. I missed my reception because of this. And we tried to call her multiple times and she never responded. Not that night, not the next day. Not ever. And the sparklers that were supposed to be put out nicely on the table? She put out about 30 (for 500 guests) and left the rest packaged in boxes that once again me and my bridesmaids (DURING MY OWN RECEPTION) had to take care of. And for the food that my parents mentioned in their review before this. HA. A wedding planner that blames the client. It was their job is to help coordinate and my family has planned tons of events before. We had the right numbers and were cut short on food. And instead of CWB lending a helping hand, my parents and family members - during their daughter's own wedding had to scramble and order extra food on their own to feed the guests. CWB did not help us manage any of this whatsoever, instead they sat down to eat when the extra food came in and acted like nothing happened... I'm interested in seeing CWBs response to this. I have done some research (check Wedding Wire) and CWB seems to always leave rude and snarky responses to all negative reviews. They may be snarky back at me too and that's fine, because I didn't want to write this in the first place but once again, had to set the record straight to their completely false, unprofessional, rude response. There are many other things I could've brought up but I think everyone gets the gist. completely unfair the way an event company focused on customer service on the most important day of people's lives should respond. Would be happy to jump on the phone and clear things up rather than leaving snippy comments which is not what I expect someone who's been in the event industry for 14 years to do. read more

A very underwhelming and unprofessional experience. We hired CWB because our initial conversations with Rahma seemed hopeful and promising. She came across as if she really understood our vision and could deliver. This could not be further from the truth. She was impossible to reach throughout the entire six months leading up until the wedding, phone calls and in person meetings both. We really wanted to do a couple of walk through's given the bride and groom were both planning from out of state, but she only allowed us that opportunity one time. Her contract was through google docs and very vague which at the time did not seem alarming, but later on she used that to her advantage and argued that the things we expected were not reflected in the contract. Everything was verbally communicated numerous times and even a week before the event we had an hour long conference call with all parties involved. She is negligent to all details, which is something you don't want in your wedding decorator. She was not only impossible to reach leading up to the events but also day of when we tried reaching her for many changes. At the mehndi, the structure she delivered was far smaller and different in shape in entirety than what we asked. We had discussed her providing a giant backdrop to hide the red curtain and that wasn't even delivered. With so much empty space and depth behind the structure, it caused the stage to look much darker. We were fortunate enough to have a DJ, production company and even videographer to give suggestions and provide more uplighting to help the stage. The structure was so small we were not able to take any group pictures and all the photographs had shadows casted on our faces. We asked for giant lanterns to be placed in front of the stage to add to the aesthetic and this detail was just entirely neglected. When we asked Rahma to enlarge the structure and to provide a backdrop on the day of, she said she didn't have enough fabric to provide a backdrop and the structure could not be enlarged for the same reason. We asked her to open up the draping so the couple would be visible and then the piping was showing as shown in the pictures below. At the shaadi, while overall the stage structure was what we asked for, she neglected to included greenery and light pinks in the original set up and we again tried contacting her with much difficulty to return and add that. We also asked for numerous crystals to be hung in the open spaces in between the drapes. The maid of honor went to oversee the décor and there were only a few crystals hanging and she asked Rahma if more would be hung when Rahma falsely told her yes. Later on, we discovered no more crystals had been put up and when confronted she then said she did not have any more. The shaadi centerpieces were just utterly embarrassing. The maid of honor also noticed only two tiny vases with water and floating candles had been set on the tables when we had signed a contract for much larger vases and a "candle trio oasis with submerged florals." She again asked Rahma where the flowers and third vase were and Rahma informed her that I had told her to eliminate florals but that a third vase would in fact be placed. The MOH told her we never told her to eliminate the florals however Rahma stated she could do nothing now because she did not have anything to fill the vases with. It looked horrific and half the wedding venue looked as if there were no centerpieces at all. Rahma falsely claimed that I had told her to go with the cheapest option and to eliminate florals. I had only asked for the cheapest floral design (roses vs. lilies vs orchids), not for them to be completely removed. The design as well as vases we showed her we wanted were much larger and she agreed to providing those but what we got was much shorter than even our table numbers as seen in the pictures below. When all was said and done, we contacted CWB to get a refund. Rahma did not reply for over a month, offered us near nothing in return, refused to negotiate and then completely stopped replying. She told us to our face that she would honor a refund and how CWB is a fair and honest company; however, that is not true. We paid for so many things that were never delivered and not refunded for all the many things violated on the contract. I would like to also make you aware that Rahma went out of her way to having reviews we posted removed and even went as far as stating they were falsified without the bride even being aware, which is a lie. The bride and her family attest to this review and any reviews posted prior. Also, because of reviews the bride's family posted, she even went as far as taking back a refund from the groom who had an entirely separate contract. An extremely unprofessional move but mostly disrespectful, dishonest and unfair. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire this company. Our only dishonest and unprofessional vendor and biggest regret. read more
