He inspected underneath our house for leaks and did a water pressure test. He recommended we replace the water regulator valve. Gave us some estimates and advised us it was time to replace our old hot water heater. His estimate to replace the water heater with an expansion tank was reasonable and we are budgeting to install a new one. He replaced the flush ball in our downstairs toilet and gave us a good price on replacing the kitchen sink faucet. For years, I've thought about re-piping my house with PEX. We have acidic water, and despite using an acid neutralizer, the water kept eating away at the inside of the pipes and giving us pen leaks. I received estimates from a half-dozen plumbers, and Carolina Plumbing Pros ("CPP") was the best one. They were NOT the cheapest, but they were very reasonable. The gentleman who came out from CPP to give me the estimate seemed to know his business better than those with lower prices, so I went with them. Two guys came out and completed the job in two days, plus an hour on the third day. They were very professional and respectful of my property, and the work they did was FANTASTIC! The only downside was that they didn't repair my sheetrock, but they did let me know that in advance. They tore out as little of the sheetrock as possible, and they left the cutouts to make it easier for me to repair it. But none could who could give us an appointment but rather would call when they are on their way Friday. Is this the new "appointment" method? Maybe I missed something. What happened to the old time time slot ? We finally found Carolina Plumbing Pros of Stallings who gave a tile slot of 1-130pm which was reasonable. The plumber actually showed up early. But what a huge disappointment, incredibly frustrated after several hours of backbreaking work clearing out from under the master bathroom room cabinets / showers guest bathroom cabinets/ shower stall, kitchen cabinets, and taping down 1500 feet of floor drop cloth covering preparing for a repair only to get a proposal to come back next week because the plumber said he left the parts at the facility. My wife has lower back spondyloarthropathy so she was in pain afterwards after hours of clearing, bending, and squatting preparing the house for plumbing repairs. They had no issue coming to our house and we are further away from their office. I requested a quote for a broken pipe it was leaking but I did not know if it was the sprinkler or city water or sewer. The office staff was very nice, courteous and efficient when I called to explain my problem. Our sewer lift pump needed to be dug up and the complete system fixed. Scott, the employee in charge of our job came out, thoroughly assessed the horrible, messy situation in our back yard. He was unfazed and also nice, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. He even made sure to measure the gate of our chain link fence to make sure the excavator could drive through the opening without problem. The day of the repair everything went like clockwork with the various components of the job being expertly handled. The pump guy came and pumped out the collected sewer water and unearthed the ancient pump which had been improperly installed, not to code, by a different plumber many years ago. In just a few hours, the area was dug out and a new pump installed with a new casing and a proper cover.
