It has changed names and ownership at least once over the years. But the things about this store that have remained the same are the important things. Very high and dependable work. Not inexpensive by any means but as with most things in life: You Get What You Pay For! Granted now that I've been retired for almost two years and attend a casual attire church, my suits don't see much action and just hang in my closet ready should a need arise. I have a long history at this dry cleaning shop. I've been going here almost exclusively since 1972! When I picked up my shirts up and took them home, I noticed wrinkles along the back ( Shoulder area). Then the next week I picked up my shirts and they were the same. No one could give me a reason, except to say it was the material the shirts were made of. I might could have bought that excuse but, not all the shirts are made of the same material. The owner came in and heard me and her staff person discussing the issue. She (the manager or owner with attitude) in passing said to me it's the fabric! nothing they can do. I left there upset about my shirts and the fact that I now have to iron the shirts myself. On my way home I went by another cleaners and ask them about the shirts. They told me it was the press and that they could have ironed over the shirt to take care of the wrinkles. I will not go back to Blanton's cleaners, not because of the shirt being wrinkled so much as to the way I was treated by the owner or manager. I have always been pleasant and polite with the staff and the owner or manager. I did not deserve the customer service I received from Blanton's Cleaners in Gaffney SC.

Back in the day; everybody who was somebody took their clothes here!I guess I must be a nobody, because I used another place that was cheaper and did an acceptable job. When I'd go to town to do business I'd see my high school friends styling around with their neatly pressed alpaca, monogrammed, sweaters that had been cleaned and pressed at Jet Cleaners. And their cloths looked great! Even their bell bottom jeans had perfectly straight leg creases! Amazing work! The guys always wore their Converse AllStars tennis shoes and they were always neat! I guess they spent a lot of their personal time cleaning the white rubber that lined the base of the entire shoe! Maybe they also took them to Jet Cleaners! This establishment has to perfection served most of the population of my hometown and they have a reputation that they earned! I will go here when I need something dry cleaned for now on. The place that I used to frequent has closed permanently! I love their work ( it's excellent! I really enjoyed interacting with the friendly folks who work there! I am not very picky when it comes to my dry cleaning so it's not too difficult to please me as a…read morecustomer. Unfortunately, I can not say in sincerity that this company gave me decent service. I brought in one pair of dress pants, one jacket, and four ties. The first interaction was pleasant. A couple of days later I returned to pick up my clothing. After quickly examining my items, I noticed that the jacket still had dirty spots through out. After pointing out the obvious spots that they missed, I asked them to reclean my jacket. When I returned the second time it was fine. If that was the end of my experience, I would feel more comfortable leaving a four star review, however, what followed in my experience brought this review down to one star. After that quick examination, I also discovered that three of the ties were warped from incorrectly pressing them. Concerned that I was about to lose $45 worth of my favorite ties, I pointed out the obvious mistakes they made and asked them fix the issues. They took it to back to fix it with no success. The ties were damaged (by them) to the point where I could not wear them with confidence that I would not look stupid wearing them. The ties had creases and what appeared to be stretched sections that caused them to be strangely shaped (thick in some parts and thin in others, some edges sharp and others rounded, some sides warped to left and some to the right). I returned a third time to speak to the owner about the ties. He said that the only thing he could do was to refund the money I paid for cleaning. I asked him to show me his policy material. After we both read it over, we both discovered that my situation is not mentioned in any way and thus does not apply to his policy. To me, this means that he ought to have attempted to reimburse me the money I paid for the ties. I proposed the idea (asking for less than I actually paid for the ties) but he refused. I personally feel like that was unjust and unethical. I also see this as being robbed. I do not recommend this dry cleaner to anyone seeking a quality dry cleaning backed up with ethical service.
