We went to Caro nails for some long overdue nail love while in Cancun during the Covid quarantine. My bestie got a gel mani/pedi and I had a pink and white acrylic fill and a gel pedicure. They did a fabulous job!! Coming from the SF Bay Area we have an abundance of upscale nail salons. Caro Nails was clean, the ladies were friendly and professional (though I needed to use the translator app to communicate and showed pics). Upon entering we were asked to wash our hands. This salon is pretty hard to find the first time but it is well worth the effort! I have been here about 6 times now and figured it was about time I wrote a review! Keep in mind this is a small salon tucked inside a townhouse so don't expect the big spa feel... but these ladies know their art and they do it better than a lot of the really posh places I have gone to in the area. And for a much more reasonable price! Lenni does the best acrylic manicures I've had anywhere in the world, and that is a fact. Her skill and attention to detail is fantastic! She isn't happy until it is perfect! If she isn't available I've seen manicures by some of the other nail techs and they all look good too. I do a "natural" looking nail, but if you like the bling they've got that too! I've had pedicures at Caro several times as well - they don't have the big, fancy soaker massage chairs but the work they do is excellent. Today I had an acrylic fill and a pedicure - both were absolutely excellent and I couldn't be happier! My spanish is somewhat limited but we manage to get by. A couple of the girls speak some english as well but even without that you can make do. They are a sweet and friendly bunch and don't get annoyed when they have to explain something a few times for me. This is a fairly busy salon so an appointment is necessary. read more
