I don't have this brand where I live so I was intrigued to see how different it might be from the grocery stores I am used to shopping at. It is conveniently located to the university nearby and on a main strip with lots of other stores. I was impressed by a unique item in the produce section where they are growing herbs and you can snip them and put them right in a bag. I didn't see any grow lights so I'm going to have to assume these plants were grown elsewhere and then just placed in this mini garden area but it is a cute idea. I also noticed that all of the shelving is pretty low. I don't think there were any shelves taller than maybe 5 feet because I could see from one end the store to the other. It's a pretty nice grocery store and the staff is also particularly very friendly.

ALDI isn't your regular American supermarket and there are a few key differences that help them keep prices down. Starting off with, you'll need to bring a quarter in order to borrow a shopping cart. You'll get it back when you return the cart. The merchandise is a wide variety but they don't have everything and they generally don't have more than one of an item. A few name brands here and there but usually ALDI's generic brand. Note that the quality is similar. At the register, the cashier scans the stuff and then puts it right back into your cart. You're bagging it yourself, making your time at the register faster. You can buy ALDI bags or bring your own. Or you can find a few cardboard boxes from the sales floor for free. There was a time that ALDI didn't accept credit cards but they do know. Easy, inexpensive (not cheap) and a good shopping experience. Enjoy! That's my mistake, BUT Customer service reviewed the interior camera footage and confirmed that the item was in my cart. However, instead of conducting a complete and reasonable investigation, they refused to check the exterior camera which would have clearly shown that I left the store without the item, since I left the cart along with the item inside the entrance. I said I left with two bags but I didn't leave with my other item which was on accident. The lack of effort and basic problem-solving from the staff was frustrating and unacceptable. As a result, I was unable to recover my item, despite there being clear evidence that could have resolved the situation. I expected far better customer service and accountability than what I experienced. I know it's just one item but, in this economy, girl bye
