I've been coming here for about two years now. The nail techs are great! Very friendly. I have noticed the last couple times I've came, it seems to be pretty dirty. Not trash and dirt kinda of dirty. But more like dust from nails everywhere. Nail polish marks everywhere too. I wish they would do a deep clean on their store! The owners are super nice. First observation- we walked in on a Sunday and there were NO customers inside.. first red flag and we should have left. I got a pedicure, friend got a pedicure and manicure. My pedicure- 15-18min max...They did not do any skin/cuticle removal around nail or under edges. They did not scrub heels or calloused areas...They only clipped nails, filed nails, applied lotion on legs and applied gel polish... after they were polished, she took a file and filed every nail edge... So every nail end is rough and now not polished... Friends pedicure was similar except they at least used a pumice on calloused areas. Friends manicure - They soaked fingers, clipped cuticles, filed nails and applied nail polish then asked her to wash hands. She returned to the seat and placed her hands in front of her (because usually this is when they apply lotion/massage) and the tech said "you done" and she said "oh, I thought there was lotion" and she said "no, lotion pump right there" as she pointed at a bottle of lotion.. for her to APPLY HERSELF! We were there less than 40 minutes from walking in and walking out.. Her bill was 93$ and mine was 53$...Needless to say, take your money elsewhere. read more

This is my go too nail salon. I have been to many others in the area, but when I looking for a new nail salon my coworker suggested here. She gets her nails done here and they always looked good, so I decided to give it a try. I won't go anywhere else now!! Everyone there is nice and does good work. Carnes Nails: Does anyone know what's going on w this nail salon???... Many employees have gradually quit within weeks of each other, one after the other. I'd been using Carnes Nails services for well over a year. Will not be returning. I've always received excellent care from two sisters. One for my mani and the other for my pedi. They were excellent. Over 2 months ago, I called to make an appointment and was told the one sister no longer works there. During my pedicure, I asked the one, where did her sister go. She only said that she no longer works there. She wouldn't say anything else and remained very quiet during my visit. She did a great job as usual; however, It was obvious that something wasn't quite right. Four weeks later, I returned. The other sister was now gone. I asked one of the regular manicurists about her. She said she'd left and that she herself would not be far behind. I asked what was going on and was told many changes had been taking place and if it continued, no one would be left. A couple of weeks ago, I returned on a Sunday late afternoon to find I was the only customer in the salon. There were only 2 employees when I walked into the salon. This was completely out of the ordinary. It's usually a packed house on a Sunday. Three others ( who seemed to be family members) came in the back door during my appt. I was able to get my mani-pedi but had a very unpleasant experience from the older woman during my pedicure. She hurt my toe, cutting into the quick causing bleeding. I had to ask her to please stop twice and removed my foot. She put something on it to help the bleeding and give it a break, then, went on to my other foot. She started talking and, of course I couldn't understand what she was saying but the others started laughing... walking by and laughing and staring. I'd never been treated like this during my previous time in over the year I'd been there. I enjoyed my manicure and was pleased w it, up until the 2nd day. The top coat of my powder dip French manicure started feeling rough and gritty... I've never experienced this w my other Powder Dip manicures. Between the pedicure treatment, the poor job of the manicure, along with the bad vibe w changes taking place, I won't be scheduling any future appointments w Carnes Nails. I've been to this salon a couple of times and haven't been this disappointed. He did not file my nails to match the other hand - I had to speak up about multiple nails. When I got in my car I realized how chunky and messy they looked. I should've paid closer attention when in the salon, so that's my fault. I ended up driving to a different salon to have them fixed and paid the $$$ unfortunately so I could like my birthday nails. I most likely won't be going back. read more

Myself and two others went to Carnes this morning for regular pedicures. In and out within 30 minutes so experience was a bit rushed. Two of us were done so we continued to sit a few more minutes (literally 3-5)while the third person waited to remove the tissue between the toes. No one was waiting to have anything done. A staff member walked by and asked what we were waiting for. I explained we were waiting a few minutes for the nails to dry before removing tissue. She walked over and snatched the tissue out and then said "now you can leave!". The actions and comment was not only rude but unnecessary. read more

Terrible. They used an electric sander to take my sister's old polish off rather than foil wraps. They got paint on my cuticles. Then when I mentioned it, rather than taking a stick with polish remover to it, they used nippers to cut the polish off! Resulting in a cut to my skin. They did not sterilize their equipment Neither of us was impressed! Two disappointed sisters. read more

I have been here a couple of times since my move to Carnes Crossroads. I have never had good service. tried it 3 different times. 2 weeks ago, I went in for a Dip. I was put with a young gentleman who was training. It was not shared with me that he was training. He did a horrible job and one of the managers had to take off the dip and totally redo my nails. Lets also note that 4 of the Dip polishes totally lifted off my nail bed with in 1 week. They were going to recharge me to replace the 4 nails. First-if someone is training, the client needs to know that, and a discount offered. $55.00 is a lot of money for horrible nail service. Second- YOU provide a service to us who are paying for the service. Do a good job!!!! read more

The energy in this place is horrible. They will stand around you when you're getting your nails done and look at you funny. They don't do a good job and will file your skin then look at you like you're crazy. I left with no polish on my toes because of the attitude I was getting. These people are rude. Very clean facility. Great color selection. Follows all covid mitigations. Super friendly staff! I went in on a Saturday for a pedicure and was seen without an appointment very quickly. I also really like the style of the place with the black and white design. Very sharp! And there was calming music playing not the obnoxious TV. So here's the thing. I have never felt like more of an inconvenience to the technician Nancy Yang. Every time I get her, it is the least relaxing experience I have ever had. I don't knows if it's me personally, or if she treats everyone this way. But, I must be the worst at getting my nails done because I can never position my hand correctly, sit close enough, or far enough or move fast enough for her. I don't go to the nail salon to be treated like I'm the worst thing that has walked in the door. I definitely was overcharged for my manicure, and I think it's because Nancy knew that she was not getting a tip from me. Will not be going back. Made an appointment for 1pm, arrived on time, and waiting until after 1:30 to even be seated. I asked for a dip manicure, which the woman doing my nails began with drilling all of my cuticles off (and the skin around my nails) and making multiple fingers bleed. The nails itself look fine. However, now the skin around my nails looks terrible. Got my nails done for my engagement but with how terrible they look I will certainly have to have them redone. read more

I went into get acrylic off of my toe and instead of them soaking the acrylic off they popped it off and ripped my toenail and then the nail tech caught an attitude when I told him I did not want him touching the toe that he just ripped a nail off of. He still proceeding to go be on my wishes can use the drill on my toenail after I said leave it alone and then try to spray alcohol on it.
